Red Boat Farm We are a sustainable family farm. We specialize in raising Heritage Breed animals. Join us and follow our journey! Thus became the name, Red Boat Farm.

After we purchased the Farm and started clearing decades of neglect and overgrowth, we stumbled upon a red boat in the middle of the woods. The Red Boat has become our "Rally Point", our spot to stop and eat lunch or sleep under the stars. We are still in the process of clearing and cleaning but we have LOTS of plans for Red Boat Farm! So, check in with us and watch us grow.

We’ll be fortpaynemainstreet farmers market this Saturday!! It’s soup time and we’ll have ground pork and sausage for sale. Get my sausage & potato soup recipe with each pork purchase too!!

We’ll also have plenty of free range eggs, simple syrups and flavored salts!!!
This will be possibly our last weekend to set up so come out and see us!!

We will NOT be at Main Street Farmers Market this Saturday (8/31), but you can catch us Monday (Labor Day) in Ider, AL at the park!!!

#redboatfarm Priscilla, the Mangalista sow is doing a great job with her new litter of 7 piglets! Her field farrowing instinct is incredible!! Even with the past few cool nights we’ve had lately, she has kept everyone alive. #mangalistapig #redboatfarm

Dinner time! These guys are doing great!! Priscilla made a nest in the nasty from the previous caretakers mess, it's actually impressive. Our barrow brought her cedar limbs for a little camouflage.

Our Story

After we purchased the Farm and started clearing decades of neglect and overgrowth, we stumbled upon a red boat in the middle of the woods. Thus became the name, Red Boat Farm. The Red Boat has become our "Rally Point", our spot to stop and eat lunch or sleep under the stars. We are still in the process of clearing and cleaning but we have LOTS of plans for Red Boat Farm!

We are now in year 2 and we’ve added Belted Galloway Cows, Longhorn Cattle, Kunekune pigs, Royal Palm Turkeys, Goats, Lots of Chickens, Guineas and Katahdin Sheep. We are still clearing and cleaning. Our latest project has been to add a couple of chicken pens for growing and breeding specific breeds including Barred Rocks and Speckled Sussex. Our “hobby farm” has become a full-time job of Stacey and continues to grow with David working off-site to fund our projects. We hope to be able to build a house and live here full-time in the coming years.
