Hey dog lovers! Dip here had his thinking cap on today and was really contemplating all of the ways that humans can have fun herding with their dogs. He came up with the idea of asking everyone’s humans if they would be interested in training to earn HT or PT AKC herding titles for their dogs here at the Farm. These lessons would be specifically tailored for each dog, based on their ability level, to train for AKC HT and PT trial tests. Dip used some human help to create a Google Form to see how much interest there is. If you think lessons for HT and PT would be fun, please fill out the form below. Dip promises to watch from a side field intently and cheer each dog on, while also offering constructive criticism and feedback!

Today, Levi, heir apparent to the rank of Farm King turned ONE! And what a sweet guy he is!
A native Tennessean from some pretty amazing lines, he is doing very well in his herding work. As he is learning, Levi is taking over some of the chores under the tutelage of his big brother Conor and big sister Essay.
Happy birthday, Young Levi - we know you will get special hugs and attention after today's work!

Please join us in wishing the HAPPIEST of birthdays to Farm Princess Essay who turns four today (HOW DID THAT HAPPEN???😱)! This little powerhouse is going strong, working well and taking some load off of the back of Conor who will be (**GASP**) eleven in August.
Happy birthday, you delicate, gorgeous, sweet, snuggy, loving little girlie - you are a warrior in the true sense of the word. Essay's Dad and her sister by another mother, Princess Skye, keep it all real so Essay can flourish and grow, living the Big Border Collie Life she so very much deserves.
Party on Girlfriend! "Herd" friends and gifts are arriving as we type!! Enjoy the spotlight, you earn its warmth every single day.

Yo, Dog Folk - the more you know. And if you are in SoFla and in need of a trainer for a difficult dog, do consider our buddy Alison of Complete Canine.
Unfortunately this law will not keep the idiots from being idiots, though it will clear a way for thorough prosecution of idiots with a clearer, more specific law.
On the flip side, accidents do happen and it never hurts to up your training game.

UPDATE: Banjo has a home! Thank you thank you everyone for sharing and finding Banjo a family!

URGENT HELP NEEDED!
Meet Banjo, a 1yr old cattle dog currently at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast. Banjo was surrendered, through no fault of his own, two months ago and is having a difficult time adjusting to shelter life and is nervous and stressed in his kennel. Banjo is a very good boy, knows all of his commands, enjoys the outdoors and loves water! If you’re interested in meeting Banjo, he will be coming up to the Farm this Sunday for some fun with the sheep. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE share and help us find Banjo a home. This little guy is still so young and deserves a loving family. Thank you!

Congratulations are in order for the Farm's very own Madie Wubker and her wunderdog from Tennessee, Maisie - also known as Jerry!
This team totally aced their very first Trial entry with a pass at Linden Hollow Farms the first run in the PT field today. Tomorrow they will take it on again - and hey - you big ram man - git in line, bro!
So proud of this team. And because I am "always right",😁 I have to remind you I told you all along that Skye would teach you everything you needed to know for Maisie to grow and flourish.

This stunning boy is named Cole, and is up for adoption in Palm Beach Gardens. His date of birth is 6/06/2022 and he is current on his vetting. Recently checked out and groomed, too. This is not a foster or shelter situation.
If you are interested in giving Cole, who is house trained, has had some obedience training and is a pleasant all around dog THOUGH a Border Collie home would be the BEST place for him, please contact Michael - info below.
Hopefully Cole will have his best birthday yet, in his forever home.

Thank You German Shepherd Dog Club of America GSDCA hosted by Treasure Coast German Shepherd Dog Club for holding your National Specialty events with us at Draxen Farms on Saturday!

Three successful events with 6 trials ran concurrently throughout the day beautifully without a hitch.

🐾 GSDCA Temp Tests ran 2 trials with 2 TT judges.

🐑 GSDCA ran 2 AKC Herding Instinct Tests with 2 AKC Herding judges judges.

🚜 GSDCA ran 2 AKC Farm Dog Tests also with 2 AKC FD judges.

Several DF Aussie friends also participated in the AKC Herding Instinct Tests. Big congratulations to Chris Hans and Suki for your QQ!

URGENT HELP NEEDED! Meet Buddy, a one year old Aussie/Cattle Dog mix. He was recently surrendered to The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast, through no fault of his own. Buddy is very stressed out in his kennel, mostly due to being blind and finding himself in a very unfamiliar environment. Outside of his kennel he is a happy guy who navigates the world very well despite his disability. If you or someone you know would like to help Buddy out and give this happy boy a place to call home, please contact The Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
