Thea Bullard manages her training facility in Fort Pierce, Fla. It has two barns with 15 stalls, large turnout paddocks and a riding arena. Also available on the premises is a full jump course and trail course. Thea's training focuses on all-around performance horses including english, western and hunters. Thea has lesson horses to accommodate every level of instruction from beginner to advanced s
tudents. She conducts camps and clinics help her students to excel in all levels of competition. In addition to training, Thea assists her clients with horse selection and purchasing, assuring that each horse is appropriate to the rider's level to make showing an enjoyable and winning experience. She is knowledgeable in equine management: feeding, health maintenance, and equine safety. Her goal is to maintain safety for her clients and nurture their ability to succeed. Thea travels to to local and national shows as both a professional exhibitor and trainer. Thea grew up in Florida and attended school in Martin County. She rode ponies; barrel raced, and was a member of Future Farmers of America. She apprenticed with leading trainers for 10 years in Ocala, Fort Pierce, and Palm City, studying several equine disciplines including hunters, jumpers, dressage, and western disciplines with a concentration on American Quarter Horses. Her experience ranges from breezing thoroughbred horses at the track, preparing them for sale at OBS and Keenland, and exhibiting various breeds of horses in the show ring. In 1995, Thea became the trainer and manager of Frye Quarter Horses, where she initiated her training program developing adult and young riders, green and made show horses, to participate in the Quarter Horse circuit. In 2003, she established Thea's Performance Horses.
