Did you know that the Kong dog toy started out as part of a hard rubber rear suspension bump stop for a Volkswagen Bus?
Joe Markham invented the Kong in the mid-1970s when he tried to distract his German Shepherd, Fritz, from chewing rocks and threw him some left over rubber parts from a VW bus he was working on.
The picture is not a Kong -- it's a rear bump stop from a 1964-1979 VW Bus.

Lake Sharpe Pet Resort doesn’t just cater to local dogs! Did you know we have these beautiful kitty condos as well?!

Our condos are private yet spacious, featuring multiple levels for hiding and climbing! We are able to keep their litter boxes far from their relaxation zone as well. Cats are also able to rotate roaming around the cat room to stretch their legs during their stay!

•Small Dog Suites•

These enclosures are recommended for dogs 25 lbs and under. They feature a quiet home like feel, with 24/7 access to the latest dog flicks! Our building is heated to perfection for these cold winter months. Our suites also have epoxy floors for slip resistance and easy sanitation and they have private access to a luxury turf play yard!
