🎄 Holiday Dangers for Your Pets 🎄

The holidays are a time for celebration, but they can also pose risks to our furry friends. Here are some risks to your pets this holiday season:

Ornaments/ Hooks: Breakable ornaments can cause injuries, and swallowed ones may lead to intestinal blockage or illness.

Decorative Items: Tinsel, ribbons, and wreaths can tempt pets to chew, causing choking or blockage.

Christmas Trees: Pets climbing or playing with the tree can cause it to tip over. Secure it with fishing line to prevent accidents.

Tree Water: Avoid adding water additives that may be harmful if ingested by pets.

Electric Lights: Chewing cords can lead to burns or electric shock—keep them out of reach!

Candles & Lamps: Never leave pets alone with lit candles or oil lamps to avoid fire hazards.

Toxic Plants: Keep holiday plants like poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly away from pets.

Potpourri: Both liquid and dry potpourri can cause burns or poisoning, so keep it out of your pet’s reach.

Let’s make this holiday season safe and joyful for everyone! 🐾 Read more at https://www.avma.org/resources-tools/pet-owners/petcare/holiday-pet-safety #:~:text=Tinsel%2C%20ribbons%2C%20wreaths%2C%20and,cause%20choking%20or%20intestinal%20blockage.

🐾 November is National Senior Pet Month! 🐾

At Best Freinds Pet Clinic, we’re celebrating the golden years of our beloved furry companions. Senior pets bring so much joy, love, and wisdom to our lives – and they deserve the best care as they age!

💡 Tips for Senior Pet Care:

1. Regular Vet Checkups – Senior pets should see their vet regularly for early detection of health issues.

2. Healthy Diet – A balanced diet can help maintain a healthy weight and joint health.

3. Gentle Exercise – Keep them active with low-impact activities like short walks or playtime.

4. Comfortable Bedding – Soft, supportive beds help ease aching joints.

🐶🐱 If you have a senior pet at home, give them extra cuddles this month! And if you’re considering adopting, remember that older pets are often already trained and ready to bring love and joy to your home.
