We are a local Animal Sanctuary, distinct from a rescue, engaged in addressing open animal cruelty cases and offering a safe haven for animals involved in these cases Our mission is to provide resources to low-income families to support their pets, in order to prevent pet abandonment, and to provide a safe haven for local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to prosecute cases of animal cruelty.

OK update on the bird we rescued and are helping recuperate. He is in with one of the roosters 🐓 he now has a buddy and we named him Burt 😉 he is doing well and growing his feathers slowly. Last night's winds knocked down our flag at rhe entrance of the sanctuary and now it flies stronger 💪 than ever. Came to bottle feed kittens and well someone else was already feeding 😆 how.many of us fell asleep on our mamas when we were bottle feeding 😆

Our Story

Lucky Two Times Animal Rescue is named after a Thoroughbred horse , she was fortunate to find a home where she could rehabilitate, be offered the care and supervision required for an animal of this stature . We provided her with much needed physical therapy , intramuscular massage therapy, introduced her to a well maintained diet and have taught her social skills she never had. Because she was bred to be a racehorse but had an accident on the race track she was marked for euthanasia at a very young age, the owner no longer had use for her and did not want to feed an extra mouth that wasn't pulling her weight. We worked together with the veterinarian and horse owner in Ruidoso NM to gain the rights to the well being of the horse, she was the beginning of an animal rescue mission and was renamed “Lucky Two Times”. Our Mission is to provide struggling families and individuals with nutritional support assistance for their pets and to offer low income veterinary care services, established to help financially challenged pet owners with the cost of veterinary maintenance.
