Introducing Dory!

She got her name because she was always swimming around in the water bowl getting all wet when she first came to us, she's a very talkitive and active little girl. Very sweet too. One of the youngest ones. Give us a call or stop by if you are interested in seeing or adopting Dory or one of the other 9 kittens that are available!

One of our employees posted about the Kittens we have here a few weeks ago, I wanted to go ahead and start featuring one of them a few times a week just to show the little babies off! If anyone is interested in adding a kitten to their family please give us a call or stop by to meet these babies.

This little black and white male is named Dredd, all of the employees got the name a few of the babies and he was named after Judge Dredd, he was skittish at first, as were they all. But he has came around and is very friendly now, just requires a little patients at first as he gets to know you!

11 kittens available right now. Come see them ❤️

Hi there everyone! We know this is a scary time with this canine respiratory illness going on, be we also understand with the holiday season comes travel or company coming in and the need to board or use a daycare service could be a must. So, we are trying to keep everyone updated as best we can on what we find that could possibly help with this to alleviate some of the worry surrounding this ongoing issue.

Below is information from a vet in Atlanta that a close friend of ours here at the lodge sent us. He also owns a boarding facility in Atlanta and uses this vet for all of his needs.

With the holidays approaching and the Canine Respiratory Illness lurking all over the media, the thought of boarding or traveling is probably scary. Loving Touch would like to help alleviate some of those fears so you can enjoy your travels with a little less worry.

With the Chinese herbs Jade Windscreen and Gan Mao Ling, we can offer some antiviral protection; though we cannot prevent your dog from contracting the virus.

Before exposure (boarding or visiting): Jade Windscreen 2x daily for 5 days

During exposure: Gan Mao Ling 2x daily

After exposure: Jade Windscreen 2x daily for 5 days

The cost for an average 40lbs dog for 5 days of exposure is under $50. Pricing will vary depending on your dog's weight and length of exposure. If you would like to take advantage of this combo*, please text, call, or email us so we can get your packet ready for you in time for your holiday travels.

770-498-5956 call/text [email protected]

* Must be a current client of Loving Touch Animal Center

Attention!

Unfortunately the update is, AT&T advised us that there is a phone line outage in the area that will not be back up until tomorrow at the earliest. We now have no dial tone, so we can't receive calls or call out. We also do not have service in the building or surrounding areas to do call forwarding to our cell phones, we would not receive the calls. So sorry still for the inconvenience, this has been tough on us as well working around it. Thanks for the patience.

If you need to contact us email us at [email protected] and let us know the name on your profile, the dogs name and the dates you are needing to board/daycare/groom or Bath, and we will get back to you via email confirmation!

10/14/2023

Attention!

Unfortunately our phone lines are down completely! No calls are coming in at all. If you need to get ahold of us Email us at [email protected] or send a Facebook message with your name and number and we will call. We can do outgoing phone calls. Thanks and again sorry for the inconvenience.

10/13/2023

Attention everyone!
The power is back on and everything is mainly running as usual today. We are still having issues with the phones not ringing on our end, so please bear with us. Unfortunately AT&T said if they can't fix it in office they won't have a tech out until the 17th. So we are doing our best to make sure everyone is answered. Thank you for your patience!

10/12/2023

ATTENTION EVERYONE!
The Power is out at the Pet Lodge, please be patient and understanding as we go about the day the best we can with this inconvenience. We do not know currently when it will be recovered but the phones, internet and all machines that require the internet to work are down! We will update when it comes back on.

IMPORTANT:
Upper respiratory infection information!
Per the Maine State Vet

-This is an unknown virus that is attacking the lungs of dogs and causing them to go into quick onset pneumonia.

-It is proven to be resistant to commonly used antibiotics such as doxy.

-This starts out acting like kennel cough (hacking, acting like something is stuck in the throat, sneezing) but is not.

- The Scarborough Emergency Vet is very well aware of this infection and has a great ICU unit setup with oxygen chambers if needed. They also have a handle of what medicine is working to treat this.

-They are urging owners to seek treatment for their dogs right away if they should start to show signs of coughing, runny nose, becoming lethargic, not eating, or producing green or yellow discharge from their nose or mouth.

-This is now considered to be at pandemic levels in the state of Maine.

-Area vets are NOT fully aware of this infection and are treating this as kennel cough. If the dogs are not better within two weeks of treatment we are telling everyone to call Scarborough and seek advice from them.

ATTENTION: We will be having some driveway work done today. If you arrive and it is in progress detour through the grass. We will be operating as normal.
