Have you always wanted to ride a horse?

Maybe you’re looking for something new, fun and exciting on a date? Why not try Ram Branch Farm’s riding? Maybe you’re not sure if riding is for you, we can help. We offer a variety of lessons in Western and English disciplines for all ages. Lessons start at $25.00 per half-hour when booked for weekly lessons. Although we sometimes do work with younger children, most children do not have the focus

or attention span to truly learn riding before about age six. If you have a specific goal in mind, please discuss it with us. We will work with you to achieve your goals, and we will also give you an honest assessment of what it will require to reach. Please Call Erin Collins for more Info 478-714-5646

If you have been trying to get in touch with us the last few week and have missed us. We are sorry. It's been a very stressful and busy time. We have alot of changes going on currently. That been said here is some of out happier times!
We had back to back shows and the crew really showed up and showed out. I missed some of the places with all the craziness of the show but heres what i got down. Last weekend as a group we walked away with two 1st, four 2nds, seven 3rds, four 4ths, and five 5ths. This weekend as a group we got three 1st, five 2nds, two 3rds, four 4ths, and five 5ths. I am so proud of all the riders but I have to to give a huge shout out to Reid. She's been riding Tonka for about 4 yrs and and with his passing just 6 days before last weekends show it was a huge change and obviously sad. Reid step up ( literally and figuratively) to ride June (who is huge) after only minimal prep rides together. Oh and June has only ever road English before these two great shows. Poor June is probably sick of me schooling her western pleasure right now 🤣They still have some work to do but keep at eye out for these two. I love watching all my crew grow and improve.

We have a heartbreaking farm update. We unfortunately had to put Tonka down today. If you have been to the farm you have met or even rode Tonka.
Tonka has been with us for just over 12 years. He's been our number 1 on the farm for years. Kicked butt in the show ring and always a great friend.
If you have lessons or trail rides schedule this week (April 21st) we will be in touch soon to reschedule.

Saturday kick off to the Wynnmeade Classic show year. Ava joined us for her first show there competing in the pre-beginner on Tonka. She did great and walked away with a well earn 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Reid rode in the mini hunter and low hunter white knuckling away with four 1st a 2nd and a 3rd. Moving up in heights can be scary but Reid and Tonka did great! Ryleigh and Knight also moved up in height doing the mini hunter and low hunter walking earning four seconds and a 3rd only due to a few lead error and forgetting to sit up but again moving up in height is scary! Still very proud. Wynnmeade also added a western division we're Mrs. Kim joined Ryleigh and Reid. All three did great! Highlights being Mrs.Kim winning advanced Trail, Ryleigh winning Showmanship with excellent marks from the judge and Reid winning Western pleasure! The group walked away as a team six 1st, three 2nds, three 3rds, a 4th and two 5ths. Over all a great start to the series!

You leave with a horse on the trailer full of prayers and hope and you return with a empty trailer, a trail and a whole in the heart.
Today we took Koda to Piemont for colic. We did everything we could but we couldn't save Koda.
Thank you to Piedmont for your fast and kind actions.
Koda was my number two man in my lesson program. If you have been out to the farm in the last 8 years you probably have rode him or road next to him. He was an amazing English, western, hunter, ranch, trail and summer camp horse. Words can't say how much he will be missed by so many.
If you would like to contribute to his final vet bill it would be greatly appreciated.

This week Reid went to the 4H state show with Tonka Truck and UnInvited Diva (June). It was her first time competing at the 4H State show and first time showing June. It was also my first time back at the 4H state show since my time there (probably 20 yrs ago 😳 ) it was a great show! Reid and the crew pulled out 4th and 9th in cloverleaf pleasure, 11th in English hunter under saddle, 1st in ranch ground handling, 4th in ranch rail (after a mad dash from the English ring and running wardrobe change) and 1st in ranch trail. All the classes were pretty good size of about 20 riders in each. Reid earned an overall 7th in pleasure and won Champion over all in ranch! I couldn't be more proud of the hard work. All the extra lessons and work really paid off!

We are 133 days into the year and it's been a very busy year. We have had 11 horse show, 2 public trail rides, 2 clinics, 1 "Bring a friend day" and one tree down to block our road (thanks barn dads for getting it out of the road for me!). That equals out to over 37 first places, 38 seconds and 45 thirds, 4 over all Championship, 4 over all Reserved Championships and many more places and many more awards. Over 180 out side visitors, 28 state qualifying spots and over 1,034 miles traveled. That's in addition to my normal farm chores, training horses, private and group lessons, trail rides and family obligations. It's been a very busy year and I feel very blessed for all the opportunities. This is just a snap shot of the year so far. Trust me there is alot more. And yes I'm tired lol for those that have complained about a wait time or cancelations I promise you it's not intentionally. We love to have as many of you as possible but life does happen and we hope you see this and understand that as well as it's worth the wait ;) . Thanks for all the love and support and we look forward to continuing to work hard and harder this year to meet all our students' goals and the public demands (as much as we can)
