It’s hot! Training outside can de difficult for dogs during the hottest part of the FL summer ☀️ our facility is 12,500 sq feet of A/C ❄️ training space. Training is more successful when a dog is happy and comfortable! Choosing to be in a facility over the years has allowed us to increase training repetitions and efficiency. We take early morning and late afternoon blocks this time a year to do public training!
☀️ training top: Lowe’s, tractor supply, and a number of other stores list themselves as pet friendly. They are great places to practice skills with your pup when it’s hot! 🐕

Statistically, 22 veterans commit suicide each day. Helping even one of those veterans is a good start. BTS K9 was started after the Rescue 22 Foundation. @byron_bts_k9 in this video is one of the owners and founders of BTS K9 and has worked with R22 since the beginning. The desire to help others and train dogs to a very high standard is what launched BTS K9 (Be the Solution Dog Training) and it is still the core of what we do. If I had advice for every client it would be that training isn’t perfect. Do what you can with the time you have. Even if it is just 5 minutes. Small steps in the right direction really add up over time. Each small session goes into building a whole new working relationship with your dog. Even on days you may feel overwhelmed, look at training as an opportunity to unplug from the rest of the world and be present. Each step leads to great success 🙌🐕

The trainer and dog relationship is so important to the success of the training.
👉Rushing into training on day one or forcing a behavior on the first lesson can create a very negative training experience for the dog. There are no quick results to dog training. Only diligence and consistency. Our trainers build a relationship with the dog first though confidence building and fun and engaging shorter training sessions. 🤓 Dogs do remember their last training session, and creating a fun and exciting environment for them leads to better results 🐕 Here at BTSK9 you will find our trainers are the most patient, kind, knowledgable, and engaging trainers.
