Meet Jackie she is our foster coordinator most will say she’s the heart and soul of our foster program. Thanks to her passions to save cats and kittens we launched our foster program in August of 2023 that has helped save over 1,000 cats since conception. Did I mention she does all this work for kisses and snuggles only 🥹!!! Well her van that she uses every week to move cats to safety broke down and will cost 751.00 dollars to fix. We are asking our community to show their support and rally behind her passion to get her tushy/van back on the road 🚐 🐾 ❤️

Boy what a crazy week and it’s only Wednesday 🤯 Most people don’t truly understand how many animals we move out of our local shelter to save as many as we can, most of the time working 14 plus hour days into all hours of the night.
So far since January 2024 we have helped 467 cats and 128 dogs find their way into partner humane societies throughout the USA. This week alone we helped 27 cats and 14 dogs with placement throughout Florida 🚐 ❤️ 🐾 but we aren’t done yet, we are wrapping up the manifest for our northern trip departing for as far as Maine Friday with 15 dogs. This is a “normal” work week for our Executive Director whose hands on leadership helps us to achieve our mission each day.

Wow! No way it’s only Tuesday 😂 This week multiple transport vans 🚐 🐾 departed Walton County to partners throughout the state of Florida. We were even able to help Crestview Animal Services ❤️In total 46 kitty cats and 22 doggies made their big moves. Special thanks to Save Our Cats and Kittens for helping care for some of our feline friends until departure 🐈⬛
Guess who had a Paw-tastic 🐾 weekend trip? Early Friday morning we loaded, drove, and Saturday even unloaded in the rain 🌧️ but the weather didn’t stop 25 cats and 14 dogs from making a life changing trip to as far as Maine 😲 All animals on this trip originated from Walton County and the City of Tallahassee, some of Florida’s highest intake shelters ❤️ These lifesaving trips are only made possible through the collaboration of many partners who we call friends. Special thanks goes out to our foster team at Blooper Animal Rescue plus our friends over at Kitty Kottage Dothan for taking wonderful care of the feline friends onboard until it was time to depart and the Animal Shelter Foundation for making this trip a reality 🚐 🗺️ 💕
Boy oh boy did some amazing things happen today. First really early in the morning we loaded up 14 cats and 10 dogs for the ride of a life time down south to an amazing humane society 🚐 🐾 Not only were we able to help the animals at Walton County but we also partnered with our friends over at Save Our Cats and Kittens ❤️ The second amazing thing was 41 feline friends 🐈⬛ being spayed/neutered today all receive rescue placement afterwards 😭

Tonight two very amazing things happened 🙏 First some amazing volunteers over at Okaloosa Animal Protection League helped facilitate 50 cats going on their community spay and neuter transport with only a 24 hour notice 😯 Plus thanks to some amazing rescue partners we pulled and placed 24 cats from Walton County ❤️ 🚐 🐾

Guys meet Freddy, Fang, Fester, and Fright. They are the “feral 4” 😂, the environment means everything to a scared kitten. They will be fully vetted this coming week, if you are local and think you may be interested in adopting one of them please send us an email at: [email protected] Keep in mind we don’t process adoptions but we have a local rescue partner willing to accept and process the adoption if approved ❤️
Update on the four scared kittens ❤️ they are decompressing and settling in. We are so thankful to our supporters and foster who are helping these 4 along their way to finding forever homes.
Special thanks to Save Our Cats and Kittens - SOCKS Shelter for giving willow a chance and his foster/Co-President Susan with Okaloosa Animal Protection League for helping him along his journey through life. This week on top of helping sterilize 107 cats/kittens. Blooper also placed 20 cats and 1 dog into rescue partners. Unfortunately Willow tested FIV+ at 18 months old although his 9 siblings did not. Many don’t know but FIV can make a cat almost unplaceable. Our founder has a special bond with FIV cats that most probably wouldn’t understand. Willow was the only cat that wasn’t accepted into placement 😭 not wanting him to feel left behind and abandoned we started asking partners for help. His intake photo didn’t do him justice so it looked like the only option was an FIV sanctuary. However, he wasn’t feral and deserves to be loved and in a home regardless of his status ❤️ After dropping him off for the sanctuary we received a call from a partner of ours letting us know Willow could come to their adoption facility. 😭 We immediately turned our van around and went back for him. It truly made our day to know this sweet boy who not only faced adversity because of his fiv status but also because of his photos initial impression found a path to a loving home ❤️
We checked in on our boy Sid today to see how things were hanging 😆 🦥 He’s loving his new home and the snacks.
It’s transport day! 24 canine and 8 feline friends are headed north to New York, Massachusetts, and Maine! 🚐🐾😻 Viper and his siblings came into the shelter very unhappy clearly not socialized. Blooper has been so busy wrapping up 2021 and moving into 2022 we haven’t made very many post! We wanted to share a sneak peek of what we have planned for 2022! Same mission, bigger impact! Through partnerships Blooper has moved into a facility! We are very thankful to all of our supporters and look forward to seeing what we accomplish together in 2022!

Today Blooper found out that Toro passed away due to an acute fatal arrhythmia. We had the pleasure of having him on the bus for two days, boy was he a lover! Please consider supporting Quincy's Hope Canine Coalition & Education! They were able to offer Toro a calm and loving home during his final days here! It’s days like these that make what we do hard!
