Don't forget Daylight Savings time ends tonight which means that now it may be dark by the time you get home and have to walk your pooch. Today is National Black Cat day which is PURRRRfect since Halloween is just around the corner. 🐈‍⬛🖤
-Did you know in some parts of the world black cats are considered GOOD luck?
-European sailors use to bring black cats on board to bring them good luck and ensure safe returns.
-In Egypt black cats were worshipped as gods (and they have not let us forget it!🥴)
-Research suggests black cats are less likely to get certain diseases due to a genetic mutation they have
-They make great a great addition to Halloween decor 🎃

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! October 13-19th this year is vet tech week!
Most people don’t know what we do day to day, some these things include pulling blood and running labs, cleaning up messes (💩), giving vaccines, feeding and medicating, taking your dogs on potty breaks, (and a lot more) but most importantly, we LOVE. We wouldn’t be who we are without you all and your babies. Here is a little glimpse of your babies being loved and cared for by our team. We are grateful to you all

Today is INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐶
To celebrate, post your pups and some interesting tid bits about them!

-Did you know each dog has their own unique nose print, similar to a person’s fingerprint!

Happy FRIYAY!
Beat the heat this weekend by setting up sprinklers for your four legged friends to play in, freeze some blueberries, strawberries, and watermelon in ice for a fun activity that will keep them cool, or just lounge in the AC and binge watch animal planet.
Also be mindful of the pavement when out on walkies, if it’s too hot to hold your hands on for five seconds then it’s too hot to trot!

We are closely following Debby and strongly encourage you all to do so as well. It is forecasted to become a slow moving tropical storm that will bring flooding to the area.
We recommend having plenty of your pet's food on hand, their medications, their shot records, and a first aid kit. Additionally it has been HOT lately so any battery powered fans or generators would be smart to have to avoid heat stroke and allow access to plenty of fresh cool water.
In the event of a closure for any reason we will notify you as best as possible and update here to reflect.

Dorian is here giving you Fourth of July tips as more pets go missing on Fourth of July than any other holiday!
-Make sure to leave them indoors, if you think they’re okay to be outside then make sure they have a collar on that has your information!
-If your pet is scared of the noises, give their calming medication around 90 minutes prior to expected fireworks and play calming music for them to help drown out the outside noise.
-Give them a space to hide.
-Give them they’re favorite treat or a puzzle toy to distract them if they’re nervous
-Keep them away from the fireworks, I don’t want to see any of your babies on Friday for firework burns!
-If you think your pet needs calming meds, call us EARLY today so we can fill meds in plenty of time because we are CLOSED tomorrow!

If fireworks give your dog the spazzies they might need some Trazzies! Give us a call in plenty of time prior to July 4th to fill Trazodone so we can keep your babies comfortable!
We will be closed on July 4th but will resume normal business hours Friday July 5th.

If you have a bird you know nail trims are usually a disaster. Marilyn here let me trim all her little nails and dremmel them and just sat and curiously watched like a perfect little angel. 10/10 good beeb ❤️🦜
