People ask us which dogs are the HARDEST to train.
Our answer always surprises them!!!
It’s the small adorable ones like Ruby (Pictured) the Mini-doodle…but WHY??? That’s my question to you 😉

CAPABLE 🆚 CONVENIENT
There’s a whole bunch of lames who believe you Pet Parents ain’t worth a minute of conversation or instruction peddling “Convenience Based” training options because a whole bunch of you are in fact looking for quick fixes.
You’re not committed to your dog’s success.
You’re committed to pawning off your responsibility as an owner, leader, and handler.
That’s why your dog will NEVER see you in the same light as they see a “Trainer”👈🏼🙄
Never.
Because you’re incapable.
Which is a 1,000% your choice.
We’re very fortunate to work with people committed to being capable for their dog.
Try to name an arena where the person at the end of the leash doesn’t have to be capable.
Whether it’s Pets or K9 the buck stops with you.
The dog training world is an egotistical, ugly, selfish place.
We have been and always will be committed to seeing you be the hero in your dog’s story.
It won’t be convenient, but then nothing in life worth a damn ever has been.

⬇️ What a load of 💩💩💩⬇️
Not Tyler and Dobby the Dane. They crushed it today!
They. They’re the team.
The load of crap is watching someone else do and experience things with your dog while you’re banished from being involved.
Looking at someone work your dog on camera or give you written instructions isn’t gonna fill in the gaps.
Watching someone play basketball 🏀 doesn’t elevate your skills when they pass you the ball.
How can your dog see you as the source of direction when someone else is giving it.
They can’t. Plain & simple.
You’re either involved in the training being developed or you’re being dismissed.
Commit to training that makes you a priority.

Your 👀 aren’t playing tricks on you 🫣
Owning, handling, working, training a dog can feel upside down sometimes.
More than sometimes actually.
Let me cite two examples from the Emerald Coast K9 Clash we attended last week.
Example #1
“I’m so nervous!” said the young handler before beginning her explosive detection training problem.
“What for?” I replied.
“I don’t know. I want to do good and not do terrible.” she said.
Sound a little all over the place? She was. The dog too.
Two ends of the leash on two different pages.
All the nerves and anxiety in the world aren’t going to positively contribute to the outcome you’ve predetermined you intend to arrive at.
Do you have positive control of your dog? Good. Few do.
Then all that’s left to do is learn.
And you will. We all do. It will never stop.
Example #2
Pretty squared away handler misses an area with her dog causing them to miss an explosive training aid.
Upon realization of this…”F**k!!!”
And to think I’d given her the made-up award for Most Stoic 😂😉
“I know it’s my fault. It’s a handler error.” she said.
“It’s called being human. You’re not perfect nor is the dog. Therefore you are paired imperfection.” I said.
That mistake. The mistakes you and I make will not be the last.
Do have the understanding to see them?
To acknowledge them?
To take ownership?
To adjust?
Good.
Not everyone there did. K9 or pets it’s all the same game.
This ain’t Stranger Things, but get used to the idea of 💩 goin’ upside down 🙃
Take pride in being amongst the select few committed to embracing it.

The formula is simple 🧪
When you combine 5% Pet Parents with a Dog Trainer who is 100% invested in your understanding you come out of it with a pup who gets your prerogative.
Osa’s owners took initiative from the start and dove into the process.
This is a family on all fronts committed to her well-being and success.

Socially Awkward.
Those two words comprise most reactive dog cases.
Put a heavy dollop of unintentional reinforcement on top of that and you’ve got yourself one helluva Pet Parent headache 🤕
Add-on the typical Pet Training models based on Trainer convenience rather than Owner capability and you have a Fleetwood Mac sized landslide of garbage 🗑️
That’s Tarot’s tale in a nutshell.
His Pet Mom has been letdown a lot.
ALOT.
I’ve had a blast working with her.
Despite her fears and hesitations she’s cool as a cucumber 🥒 at sessions.
It’s making the BEST impact on Tarot and we’re all here for it.
You’re not the problem. The systems that devalue you and your dog are.

🐾 Cooper and Annabelle 🐾
Handling one reactive dog, let alone two is no walk in the park 😖
These two may look like 😇’s, but they have their moments 😈
Those moments of chaos have become virtually non-existent because their Pet Mom has taken charge.
She’s exactly the kind of leader any dog would be fortunate to have.
We’re grateful to work with Owners who choose commitment over convenience and value being THE person in their dog’s lives.
Too easy is a mindset 😌
It takes discipline and initiative from the human end to grab those leashes ✊🏼

You can’t have Pixi without Lil’ Bit…
While in-person they appear to be polar opposites they’re not that far off.
Pixi shows you exactly how she feels at all times 😂
Lil’ Bit plays her cards closer to her 😂
They’re both great dogs owned by a couple that really cares about them.
Believe it or not having dogs can be a real test of couples aligning or not.
Our team has seen both extremes 🫣
There’s so many hurdles any couple will have to overcome, but dog ownership should not be one of them.
If you’re not on the same page the dogs never will be.
That back and forth will put strain on everyone and everything involved.
I’m no canine couples counselor 😂 Not officially anyways.
I do believe in people though.
If you’re committed to the dog’s best interest then I’m committed to you 🫶🏼😝

The mantra is “Too Easy”. The world can be anything but.

You better believe it. Some dudes can be a little defensive 🦀 Tough to bring out of their shell 🐚 Let’s be honest…Guys like to feel in control. They want to portray they have it all figured out even if they know they don’t. If #BJJ and #K9 taught me anything it’s that you’ll never truly excel…Man or woman…unless you’re willing to show… Authentic Vulnerability. Only then can you be open to receiving. Only then can you ascend. In this video you see Osa and Ro…I mean Gus working as one. No raised voices, no flexing 💪🏼, no bigger 🔨 Some have said we’re Dog Whisperers. Maybe we’re Hubby Whisperers too. As long as it’s not weird I’m with it 😝 Too Easy 😎
We need opportunities that test and challenge us. We need to see how we respond from them. That’s dog training. Dog ownership. K9. That’s everything. I can’t guarantee you anything, but I have a strong feeling you’ll be a better person if you learn how to be the BEST person for your dog. Too easy.
Seems like the only guarantee in dog training is there is no guarantee, just like life. How could someone in good conscience guarantee you anything? Let alone with the ol’ 100 percent stamp on it. No guarantee a dog will sit when you tell it. No guarantee your vehicle will start. No guarantee the dog will find the bomb or bite the bad guy. We all understand tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. The idea of a guarantee makes us feel safe though as if there’s a safety net should things come crashing down. Feels like most military folks stay in for that guaranteed paycheck on the 1st & 15th. So why dog train to begin with? Why invest time, money, effort, and often sanity? Why do anything? Because nothing worthwhile ever came from not trying. Whether it’s dog training or not we’ve become Uber focused on the outcome instead of the process. As if there’s a result that’ll make us whole. Some finish line we’ve put in our heads or let someone else where it all ends. Some result where you’ve now gained value. Where your dog measures up in your eyes, some strangers on social media or next to the dog you don’t even know. Comparison is the thief of joy, of life. My question for you is this. Can you trust the process and surrender to whatever the outcome is realizing the control you thought you had was an illusion the whole time? Can you bounce back if things don’t go your way? Can you meet the obstacle head-on and adjust off whatever the result was? Speaking of guarantees. Can you guarantee the answers to any of those questions? Aren’t the setbacks what shape us? Mold us? Develop us? And not just us, but our dogs, and nature. It’s no different for them. Dogs are so much more durable and resilient than most give them credit for. The adversity is what sharpens us, hardens us. Them too. We don’t need more false guarantees. We need opportunities that test and challenge us. We need to see how we respond from them. That’s dog training. Dog ownership. K9. That’
It’s you and your dog 🐾 Period. Let the TEAM shine ☀️ Too Easy 😎
I understand completely how it feels to feel lost on a dog. To even feel hopeless. I made a choice to commit though. The only people I or we ever end up working with make that same choice. I listen to a lot of talkers who own dogs. They even believe they want to do something. Real ones actually commit and do.
Unattended dog in public ❔❓😳❓❔ Not so fast 💨😝 How does your dog do when you’re outta sight? Do they lose their 💩😬 How do they do in a public setting where giving them constant attention is not the priority? Our Trainer, Luisa recently conducted a session at the @thedestincommons where the focus was on this family’s dog complimenting their shopping 🛍️ experience, not taking away from it. That’s her taping 🎥 btw. Too many #PetParents subscribe to the social media narrative that going anywhere with your dog means they’re the sole focus. That they must constantly be engaging with their dog. All this does is promote needy, drivey behavior you didn’t intentionally ask for. That’s just not reality. #DogTrainers in public doing flashy obedience is not your idea of a relaxed outing. It’s crucial we reinforce and promote behaviors that add to our public experiences with our dogs. Often times doing nothing is everything we want from our dogs, but do they know that? Too Easy.
NEVER assume THIS!!! Don’t assume your dog can do something or is proficient on it until they’ve proven they can. One of the fastest ways to get let down is to believe your dog is capable of doing something they haven’t been trained to do. Seeing is believing and we owe it to our dogs to set them up for success. Too easy!
How bout that behind the back pass? 😲 Cooperation trumps conflict. We may have a few or many things we expect our dogs to do, but do they understand them? What’s the benefit for them? If you answered “Because I’m their master and their job is to obey” (Real thing someone said btw) then keep on movin’. It’s perfectly fine to have expectations as long as you’re willing to do what’s necessary to help your dog live up to them. If they make sense for your lifestyle and don’t diminish your relationship then we’re here. No amount of Dog Training will ever supersede your responsibility as a Pet Parent and advocate for their safety. Too Easy.
Ya know what NO ONE asks for? 🤔 MORE HORSEPOWER 🏎️ 💨 I never meet a #PetParent who wants to pump up the volume 🔊 “Hello, Mr Dog Trainer. If it isn’t too much trouble could you increase my dog’s drive to be consumed with actively doing things in-home or out in public? Everyone says they need a “job”, so let’s develop a working dog!” Zero people ask for this. If almost every dog owner’s need is navigating problematic behaviors or helping their dog fit their lifestyle then WHY do #DogTrainers insist on pushing out North Korea 🇰🇵 Obedience on all the social media platforms! Because THEY like working dogs, not owning them. Sexy to them is another command, task, or “job” 😵💫 Don’t get me wrong when it comes to working dogs I’m all in if we’re finding bombs, drugs or going to fight bad guys 🥊 But if we’re going to the brewery? Nope. Going to the farmers market? No again. Going anywhere a dog owner goes? Never. Lifestyle Obedience Training 😌 Too easy.
Impulse Control 😬🐾 How do you teach your #dog to resist the impulse to engage with everyone and everything in it’s environment? It’s a simple recipe that’s only as good as the quality of its ingredients. * Accountability * It’s easy to say, but challenging to apply. There are many times #PetParents believe they’re getting the point across. Unfortunately, the #dogs behavior demonstrates otherwise. * Repetition * How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice ✊🏼 Not just spinning your wheels though. Perfect practice makes perfect 👌🏼 Too Easy 😎🤓 (850) 357-2236 📲 #DogTraining mobile from #DestinFlorida to #Pensacola to #30a to #PanamaCityBeach to #Navarre to #FortWaltonBeach and everywhere else on the #EmeraldCoast 🏖
