Lando is a fun-loving, energetic dog who’s basically the canine version of an adventure influencer. He’s always ready to hit the trails for a hike or chase after a ball like it owes him money. 🎾 He’s not just about the action, though—he’s got brains, too! This smart boy knows some basic obedience and loves showing off his good boy skills (especially if treats are involved). 🐕

When he’s not living his best outdoor life, Lando turns into a total snuggle bug. He’s all about the hugs and belly rubs. He’s the perfect combo of active and affectionate—a dog who’ll tire you out on a hike, then steal your heart on the couch. 💙🛋️

But here’s the thing: The shelter life is cramping his style, and he’s dreaming of a forever home (or even a foster) where he can finally thrive.

🐾 HELP MEOW-T! 🐾

This is Snowcone, your local shelter cat, coming to you with an urgent message: BRING SNACKS. RIGHT MEOW. 🍗🧀🐟

The humans are holding me hostage in this room with other cats who think they’re the boss of me. (Spoiler: I’m the boss.) They say I need to find a “forever home” before I can leave. I think that’s human code for “a place with better snacks and no curfew.”

Here’s the deal: I’ll let you adopt me. In return, I promise to:

🐾 Grace you with my presence.
🐾 Occasionally knock things off counters for your amusement.
🐾 Allow you to pet me—on my terms, of course.

Malone is here to remind you: fetch is a one-way game. 🎾 You throw the toy, he retrieves it, and then… it’s his now. No refunds, no returns, just endless fun. 😂

This loving boy is our longest resident at the shelter, and we’re not sure why. He’s sweet, playful, and just a little bit of a toy hoarder (we respect the hustle). 🐾

🐾 Thank You for Your Support! 🐾

We are so grateful to our amazing community for stepping up and fostering shelter pets during this cold weather. Your kindness has made a huge difference for so many animals in need. 💕

However, we’re still over capacity, with 81 dogs and 52 cats currently in the shelter. With the cold snap continuing through next week, we urgently need fosters to provide these pets with warm, loving temporary homes.

Every day, new strays come in, and some of our previously fostered pets are returning to the shelter. We can’t do this without you! If you’re able to foster, even for just a few days, you’ll be saving lives and helping us give these animals the care they deserve.

Words can’t express the depth of our gratitude to everyone who opened their hearts and homes to foster pets during this cold weather. Your kindness and generosity have truly made a difference for so many animals in need. 🐈🐕‍🦺

If you’re still considering fostering or adopting, we have 79 dogs and 50 cats in the shelter still waiting for a warm place to call home. While the remaining pets are all inside at night, the shelter is not as warm and comfortable as a home. Every little bit helps, and together, we can make a big impact.

🌟 Thank You, Best Friends Society! 🌟

We’re thrilled to announce a wonderful partnership with Best Friends Animal Society that has already made a huge impact on the lives of our furry friends! This week, 32 of our cats and 1 lucky dog made their way to Best Friends’ adoption center in New York City, where they’ll find their forever homes. 🐾❤️

This is just the beginning of an incredible journey together! Starting now, we’ll be partnering on monthly transports of 30+ cats to NYC, and we’re working hard to establish a regular dog transport program as well.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Best Friends Society’s dedication to animal welfare and their commitment to saving lives. Together, we’re making a difference—one pet at a time.
