UPDATE - Access has been restored

UPDATE - Access has been restored.

The access gates for the Twining Valley Dog Park are currently being worked on this morning and access may not be available for the small, medium, and large dog areas throughout the day. An update will be posted once regular access has been restored.

This work is related to the activation of the fob access system, which is still not yet required as we are awaiting more fobs to be delivered.

Please be aware that on the evening of Monday, May 13 (tonight), an emergency response training will be occurring at Twining Valley Park and that police and fire vehicles will be present at the site. If you are visiting the park or passing by, please do not be alarmed!

TWINING VALLEY TWILIGHT 5K POWERED BY LuLu Country Club is Wednesday, June 12 at 7:00 pm at Twining Valley Park!

🍴🎶🎉 Your $30 race fee gets you a post-race party with dinner, a live band (Bob T & The T-Bones) and complimentary drink from Ambler Beverage Exchange! Plus, chip timing, cash prizes for top finishers and a t-shirt. We're working a free ice cream truck as well - stay tuned!

Due to some technical issues with the Twining Valley Dog Park fob access system, the May 1 start date is being delayed. Getting registered now is still strongly encouraged as once the technical issue is resolved, the access system will be activated immediately.

Membership for Upper Dublin Township residents is free. Membership for non-residents is $50 per year.

REMINDER: Mondaug Bark Park closes TOMORROW ❗️

On Wednesday, March 27, Mondaug Bark Park will close for future renovations. The two fenced off-leash areas will be closed for up to 18 months as grass cover is re-established, trees are planted, and site work is completed. The parking lot will remain open and leashed pets will continue to be permitted on the adjacent Upper Dublin Township trails. Those interested in an off-leash dog area can visit the Twining Valley Dog Park (1487 Twining Road in Dresher).

The asphalt trail on the larger side of Twining Valley Park will be closed to the public on Saturday, October 21. The trails on the dog park side of the park will be unaffected.

Due to the Twining Valley Cross Classic, a cyclocross event at Twining Valley Park, the asphalt trail at Twining Valley Park will be closed to the public on Saturday, October 21. That said, we encourage you to come check out the race and cheer on the athletes! Races take place throughout the day from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Interested in participating? We have FREE kids race (age 10 & under) as well as a First Timers race for those that want to try out the sport. Due to predicted thunderstorms, the Doggie Paddle is canceled tomorrow at the Upper Dublin Township Community Pool.

For those that use the Twining Valley Dog Park . . .

As part of a pilot program at Twining Valley Park, restrooms will be available in the upper level of the former clubhouse for park visitors to use on Saturdays beginning September 9 thru November 18 from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

The building will be monitored by a park attendant during those hours unless they are out patrolling the park. The porta potty will continue to be available in the main parking lot during all other days and hours.

Doggie Paddle is this Sunday, September 10 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Upper Dublin Township Community Pool. Bring your canine companion(s) to the pool for one more day of summer fun. Enjoy the wading pool, main pool and large grass area. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to the Montgomery County SPCA - PA. Each dog must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+ yrs) - limit two dogs per owner. If you have concerns about the behavior of your dog, you may want to pass on this event. Dogs using this park must be properly licensed, inoculated and healthy. 🐶🐾

Please be advised that the large dog area at Mondaug Bark Park (1130 Camphill Road) is temporary closed due to ground nesting bees. Medium and large dog owners can use the enclosures at Twining Valley Park Dog Park until the enclosure reopens. The small dog area at Mondaug will remain open. Medium and large dog should NOT use the small dog area at Mondaug Bark Park.

Park visitors are reminded that mulch and/or rocks should never be used to block entry to a hive nor should a non-Upper Dublin Township employee ever apply bee spray on public property.

The Mondaug Bark Park large dog area’s reopening will be announced via email and social media in the future. Thank you!

UPDATE 7/25/23: All areas of the Twining Valley Dog Park are OPEN (small, medium & large dog park areas).

The large dog park area access gate issue at Twining Valley Dog Park has been resolved and this is area is now open.

That said, access to the small and medium dog park areas is temporarily unavailable. Medium size dogs (26 to 49 pounds) may use the large dog park area. Small and medium size dogs may use Mondauk Bark Park (1130 Camphill Road, Fort Washington).

A technician will be out tomorrow morning and we will keep you posted on the dog park status. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Due to an access gate issue related to this weekend’s storm, the Twining Valley large dog park area is temporary closed. We hope to resolve this issue quickly. Once resolved, an announcement will be made about its reopening.

In the meantime, dogs considered large (over 50lbs) may use the Medium Dog Park area.

Due to access gate issues, the Twining Valley Park small and medium dog park areas are temporary closed. We hope to resolve this issue quickly. Once resolved, an announcement will be made about the two areas reopening.

Medium size dogs are permitted to use the large dog area at Twining Valley. Mondaug Bark Park is also available for both small and medium sized dogs.

The main parking lot at Twining Valley Park will be closed Wednesday, May 31 at 7:00 am through Friday, June 2 at 7:00 pm for paving. Parking will be available in the Twining Valley Dog Park parking lot (marked in red on the map). The 87-acre side of the park can be accessed through the tunnel under Twining Road (marked in orange on the map).

Due to scheduled tree work, the paved trail from Wynnemoor Way to the Rapp Run flood retarding structure (nearest park is Mondaug Bark Park) will be closed on March 22 and 23.

When visiting an Upper Dublin Parks & Recreation dog park, please remember the following:

- The enclosures are intended for dogs to recreate and exercise, not for the recreation of children. All children must be within arm's length of an adult and under constant supervision at all times. Some dogs can be frightened by the quick and erratic movements of children. This is for everyone's safety.

- Children under 6 years old should not be brought to the dog park.

- Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times until they have entered the release corral. This includes when traveling between the parking lot and enclosure. Regardless of how obedient your dog is, please respect our park rules.

- Please adhere to the posted weight limits. While we recognize the medium size Twining Valley Dog Park area is closer and more convenient to the parking lot, large dogs (50+lbs) MUST use the large size area. This is for the safety of dogs and humans.

- If your dog is exhibiting aggressive behavior, please remove your dog immediately. Dog parks are for socialized dogs, not to socialize dogs.

- And of course, please clean up your after your dog.

We appreciate adherence to the above as well as all other posted rules.

Fob Update! The fob system at the Twining Valley Dog Park is currently not in place. We had hoped to have the fob system in place by the time the Winter-Spring Leisure Guide made it to homes. At this time, membership is not required to access the dog park. Once the fobs arrive, there will be a one month grace period for people to register prior to registration being required for access. Registration open will be announced through our eNews channels, social media and signage at the dog park.

The small dog park area at Twining Valley Dog Park is NOW OPEN! Dogs under 25 pounds should use this park. Dogs 25 to 49 pounds should use the medium area and dogs 50+ pounds should use the large area.
