🚨 IMMEDIATE foster needed! 🚨

Do you remember Dolly’s post last week? We were contacted by IACS that a dog microchipped to us was surrendered to them. Dolly was adopted from us 3 years ago and found herself in a high kill shelter. A community member helped get her out and was very temporarily fostering her. Dolly needs a long term foster by THIS WEEKEND! Dolly needs a foster where she can be separated from animals and given time to decompress. Positive update on Dolly: she had still shown some aggression when our dogs passed by her crate but also wagged and shown some curiosity so we took her for a walk with one dog and plenty of distance between the two. Dolly LOVES walks! She ignored him at first and by the end they were side by side with no issues and as no no more aggression in the crate. ❤️

For transparency, according to the intake Dolly nipped a child that was all over her. This does not sound like Dolly’s fault and she should not serve a death sentence for it. We have a Fort Wayne trainer, Gillian’s K9 Academy on standby to evaluate and start in home sessions if anything needs addressed. Dolly has lived with cats, dogs, and kids for the past three years with no issues prior to this. She is altered and upon surrender IACS bolstered vaccines and her heartworm test came back negative.

🖤 Draco is ready for his forever 🖤

Draco isn’t only the loyal dog everybody wants, but he is determined to be your best friend for life no matter what. Dogs never seem to fail humans but yet so many are failed by owners. Draco is ready to have a furever home where he won’t be failed!

Draco is a great dog who loves to snuggle on the couch with his person and give you plenty of kisses. He enjoys running outside and playing with his abundance of toys. He also enjoys a big backyard to run in when he gets the zoomies. Unfortunately many would look past him because of his coloring, but I think it makes him stand out even more. I have truly enjoyed taking care of this precious soul, he is such a joyful dog and will make someone very happy! He is hard of hearing so when you want to get his attention I either squeak a toy or I wave to him to come. This treat motivated boy will make the perfect dog for someone who is willing to give him the chance he needs.

Earlier in the week we had four puppies (Tini, Milo, Lollie, and Rockie). We only raised $70 of their $644 bill. Today Daisy is getting spayed! Next Tuesday we have Mello, Ash, and Smokey getting neutered. Then on Thursday Betsy is being spayed.

All of this is going to cost approximately $1,206‼️ We have raised $70.

Rocky- he is the big boy . He's a quick learner was the first one to learn how to sit and go to his bed( crate) he's loves snuggles and playing fetch.

Lolli - is a big girl. She is full of Energy she loves to sitting on a wedge we have like the princess she is. She has also learned how to sit.

Milo- he is a bit on the shy side but absolutely loves to cuddle and sit on your lap. He's also very curious and enjoys exploring.

Tini- is the smallest pup but she holds her own against her brothers and sister. She doesn't have as much energy as her siblings and definitely enjoys couch snuggles.

💙 Henry 💙

Henry is a 9 year old senior who was saved at the beginning of the snow storms after being found living outside on a chain. Henry weighed under 30lbs when he got to the shelter. Sadly Henry ended up code red due to his medical situation. He has a grade 3 heart murmur and is high positive for heartworms. Henry is such a good boy that is friendly with every animal and person he has met. He is looking for a foster or adopter as well. He is needing lots of TLC to get healthy! He is dog, cat, horse and goat friendly too.

Henry is looking for a long term foster or even foster to adopt home that can help keep him comfortable during heartworm treatment!

$4 Wednesday: skip a coffee, help a rescued puppy ‼️

We have a couple needs that we are hoping our community can help us with! We recently helped NINE puppies that were dumped off to the doors of another rescue that had zero space. We purchased over $300 worth of supplies for the fosters of those puppies. They need to get vaccinated right away. Between exam fees and the vaccination costs we are looking at well over $700!! We would love to get an Embark DNA test as we do not know their breed if anyone is willing to donate one. They are $109. We just need one, this will help us know how big the puppies will be and what type of forever homes will be the best fit. Puppy supplies will be an ongoing need until these babies get adopted. We need lots of puppy food and potty pads.

Five of the puppies just went for vaccine boosters and we need $150 for that!

Unfortunately they foster that has three of the puppies is no longer able to continue fostering them due to her dog. We need fosters for those three!.

Cable has been adopted 🎉🎉

This perfect cutie has been adopted! 💙 Cable has been in our rescue for a couple months waiting for the perfect family to come along. He finally hit the jackpot! He instantly fell in love with them during the meet and greet. Then he got to go home the next day after his neuter. We say it was perfect timing and fate!

Ready to add a furry friend to your family? 🩶

Ash and Smokey are four month old brothers that are looking for forever homes. They both are so sweet, friendly, and very curious. They do enjoy being cuddled but also having freedom to run around. Ash will run himself against other animal friends and will plop down right on them to cuddle, even big dogs! They got baths and nail trim today and did amazing! These two are amazing kittens.

Come see us at the Monroeville Farmers Market today! We will be there from 11-3pm! 🩷 We have some cute shirts on sale! We also have pet bandanas, keychains, pet pourri spray, dog peanut butter, lick mats, candles and stickers for our animal lovers. All proceeds are donated towards the rescue to help with vet bills!

Sadly we are not able to bring animals inside the community center BUT we will have a binder with information about a bunch of our amazing adoptable pets! 🩷
