A lot has happened since I posed last. Things have been very slow with the bakery, but that's 1000% my doing. There have been a lot of house things going on and family things that have taken up my time and energy. However, today something happened that I just had to share. Today, Beau & June's Pet Bakery gained a new ambassador. Her name is Halloumi, after a type of cheese, and she goes by Lu according to our 4 year old son. We are so excited about this new addition to our family and look forward to sharing more about her soon!

Taking a new years break! We had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the next holiday! I'm working on Valentine's Day canine conversation hearts!

Sent in the paper work for our 2024 license and we'll see how things go.

Roger and Daisy were a couple of our testers when the idea of a pet bakery was just starting out. We don't have a dog of our own anymore so when I was looking for pups to try out the treats their mom volunteered them. They approved!

Proper nutrition at all stages of life plays a key role in maintaining your pets overall health. The food you give your pet every day should be their primary source of vitamins, minerals, protein and carbohydrates. Treats don't count as the primary diet, but their ingredients should be just as safe and healthy.

At Beau & June's Pet Bakery, we take our ingredients seriously. If we would not have given it to one of our pets, we won't give it to your pets.

Had the opportunity to practice my skills today. It's a work in progress, but I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

The cake is whole wheat, applesauce, honey, cinnamon and baking powder. The icing is coconut oil, yogurt, carob, egg powder and tapioca starch.

Today, from 10:30 to noon and again 2 to 6 (or until the treats are gone), there will be trick or treating for your dogs at Allen Veterinary Hospital.

We'll have the Peanut Butter Flavor and Beau's Classic to hand out, plus a few bags for sale if your pup wants extras!

I've got 2 bags of each size (2inch, 3inch and 5inch) Peanut Butter Flavor that have been customized with the words "trick", "treat", "Boo" & "spooky".

Normally customized treats are .50(per bag) + regular price, but since we're so close to trick or treating I'm going to drop the .50 and just sell them at their regular price.

I also have 2 bags of Beau's Classic in the 2 inch bone size. If you're interested you can send a message or text!

I can hardly believe how far this idea has come. There have been so many moments when I really thought about throwing in the towel, but I have a pretty awesome support team who always helps me through. There are still many things to learn and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous.

The verse I picked for our Bakery's purpose statement is Colossians 3:17 — Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

I don't know what all the Lord will use me for in this life, but everything I do, I want it to be evident that I'm doing it for my Maker. I'm thankful for the lessons I've learned so far.

This morning we got the bakery insured! I'm working on our prices and the payment options but otherwise we are legal to sell.

Excited for some samples I'm going to put together for the dogs that visit the vet on Halloween. I haven't baked in awhile!

We are now officially registered as an LLC. Our applications were accepted by both state and federal. Next step is getting insured. Then the fun really begins!

Wow, it's been a while! Let's catch up.

1. I've been taking a course to help with the basics of running our own business

2. I've been recovering from a back injury

3. Today we got our feed license in the mail!!

Baking has been put on hold for now as I'm still recovering and really trying to focus on my class. I've also got some new work hours at the vet to get used to before we can resume baking. Yesterday marked 1 year since we put Beau down and I was thinking about him a lot. I kept thinking about how much he would have loved being our primary treat tester. ❤️

Thank you for your continued support. We are trying to take things one step at a time as we are learning all about business ownership and responsibility.
