I brought this painting to school today to show the kids how I like to make art. What an ego boost to hear them react to my creation ❤️ Then after school I got to drop it off to it’s owner and see the same type of excitement on her face. Art is a special thing! 🖼

Hello again. Popping in to say where I’ve been and where I’ll be until I catch my breath! After 8 years out of the classroom, I was offered a full time art teaching gig again. It’s been a whirlwind of a start (I was hired less than two weeks before school started) but I got everything settled and spent the past few days with kids in my room. It’s AMAZING to be back and I feel right at home already. I’ll check in to share the projects that I have been slowly chipping away at (really slowly is an understatement) during this transition but my main priority for the next bit will be my little artists at school. Thanks for your outstanding support, especially this last year, and I look forward to planning projects with you all again soon!

Took a break to go to NY with my family but now we are resuming normal life! Since we’ve been back I’ve been chipping away at this lovely home between swim practices and keeping my crazy kids amused for these last few weeks of summer. Now time to paint! 👏🏻

Posting at 8:30 am because I’m too excited to save this for when people will be plopped on the couch scrolling tonight. No challenge, no reward! This was a super different project for me... backs instead of faces, focus on landscape instead of figures, and WATER 😳 But I’m SO proud of how it turned out and am thrilled to see it cherished for years to come by the three generations illustrated together ❤️

So sweet that the bride thought to send me an invitation so I could see my work in print! They turned out beautifully! Now not only does she get to enjoy the original painting but she has an edited digital file to use for many print applications like this wedding stationary, address labels, and more!
