Canine Rehabilitation at NIVES

Meet Little Kitty! Little Kitty came to us after having some issues with her knees. We have started laser therapy and some time walking in the underwater treadmill. She is doing well with her therapy as she gets used to being in the water. Great Job Little Kitty!

Meet Louis! Louis came to us after surgery to repair a herniated disc in his spine. He lost the use of his back legs after his injury and he is working on gaining his strength and movement back. Louis has made so much progress as he can now get himself into a standing position on his own and is attempting to take some steps. Way to go Louis!

Happy Vet Tech Week to our favorite Rehab Vet Techs, Lauren and Chelsea! Vet Techs are earthly angels that should be celebrated everyday! Their dedication, genuine love and care for pets is second to none. Our Rehab Vet Techs form very strong bonds with their patients and owners as most patients come every week, and some a couple times a week. Patients receive top notch care and also get lots of cuddles, butt scratches and treats when they are here. We appreciate you! Thank you for all you do for your patients!

Meet Charlie! This sweet and sassy boy came to us after having surgery to repair a disc herniation. He has improved so much with his home therapy and visits here with us. Charlie LOVES treats and lets us know when it's time for snacks. Charlie graduated last week and is doing so well! We will miss him so much!

Finley made a splash here in rehab! She came to us after getting her torn cranial cruciate ligament repaired to help strengthen her leg post surgery. She is such a happy girl and did great while she was here. Finley LOVES water and did a lot of swimming in the lake at her house as well as in-hospital therapy. Great job Finley!

Curtains are closed on Gus's time in rehab, he graduated today! Gus started with us after getting a fracture surgically repaired on one of his back legs. There were multiple complications that led to his leg being amputated. He is doing amazing now and is so strong! We're so proud of him and his mom for working hard on his recovery!
