Menace here, just a quick share to say that I love the snow! Mom hates it and we are currently sitting because she says the roads are not safe. It's boring but I have been getting lots of pets and treats.

Menace here. Mom and I have been really busy up until a couple of days ago when our truck broke down. We have been staying in a motel and it's FUN! Mom kept telling me we needed to get rolling before something she calls wet white s**t started falling. Well it's here and so much fun! She just keeps telling me it's to cold to be out for very long, maybe she needs to grow a fur coat. Love you all!

I made new friends this morning! At a delivery with mom and all the workers had to come pet me and tell me how beautiful I am. Mom's a downer though and told me not to let it go to my head. Until next time love to you all Menace.

Menace here, you won't believe what mom told me! She said I smelled like a DOG! I had to take a truck stop shower. Mom said I was a good girl for my shower and smell much better. Mom plans for everything, she had my own soap and towels even. Don't worry we were very neat and cleaned up after ourselves. I really liked the drying off and all the rubbing she did to help me dry. Today I learned that fire ants BITE! I thought that it was just a nice pile of dirt to dig in, boy was I wrong! I got them all over me and mom got bit several times trying to help get them off of me. Lesson learned! Monroe Louisiana you have mean ants!

Big news! I got my service dog in training harness today! So mom took me to a restaurant! I ROCKED IT!!!!! Absolutely was an angel ( do I get a halo now) but really I laid under the table and was soooo good.

Menace here celebrating playing on real grass back in North Texas. Mom says we can play lots today while the Truck is in the shop. She even told me I get to go home this afternoon and play with my siblings for a bit. This made me really excited!

I am so proud of this pup. He went to his new home 2 weeks ago as a service dog prospect. A couple of days ago he did his first low blood sugar detection and also went and found help for his person! I knew he had all the potential in the world for a service dog but in training he is still working on the basics. Talk about a natural!

He does have siblings still available. They are now 4 months old.

This cross has been amazing! They have siblings all over the country and in both Canada and Brazil. This is the 3 and final litter for their momma. These 4 boys are now looking for their best friend to take long walks and cuddle with on cold nights.

Copied from another breeder. But with this current litter I lost one that I fought so hard to save.

This is something that is weighing heavy on my heart. I know this is going on with other breeders, because no one wants to talk about it or say anything. Well y’all know I WILL! When you are asking about puppies from breeders, please stop and think for a second, what all we actually do. We are there for these babies from the time they are born. We are helping nurse some of them. I have personally sucked out a babies with my own mouth and given cpr. I have given fluids and tube fed struggling little ones to get them started and make sure they survive, are happy, healthy, and thrive for their future families. It doesn’t matter if they go to a breeding/ show home or a pet home. They each get my undivided attention. I am seeing so many good breeders, raising phenomenal pups, that are losing pups, that are getting lowballed on prices, good dogs are being passed up because of eye color, coat color, no one seeks out a dog for their goals and needs for their family or program any more. It is insanely insulting of you expect to get high quality pups and high quality care of these pups for 8 weeks they are with us, for a dirt cheap price. We spend thousands and thousands of dollars on our dogs, showing, training, OFA’s, genetic testing, neonatal care of babies, and y’all expect to get all of our time, money, blood, sweat, tears, success, and our heart and soul for next to nothing. We do this for the love and betterment of the breed. We have huge successes and Devistating heartbreaking losses. Just today two other breeder friends lost either pups or their dogs. Well yesterday, I had to make the hard decision to put two pups down ( one pictured) I tube fed these babies, gave fluids, neonatal supplements, did physical therapy with them. Loved them and gave them round the clock care. And then they take a turn for the worse. Nothing we did wrong, nothing genetic we could test for, something happened to them in utero. I tried my DAMNEDEST to save these babies and in the end all I could do was lay there and hold them and cry and cry. I am fortunate to have not lost but three, ever. Some people lose more and don’t want to talk about it because it is taboo. We only show the successes. Well here I am, telling you, showing you, look at the love and soul we put into this. Most folks want high quality for dirt cheap insulting prices. Well if that is what you want, instead of quality, love, compassion, a level of care that would compare to a neonatal veterinary unit, then DO IT YOURSELF. I get it, times are tough, but guess what, most of us will work with you. But please understand, and I think I can say this for a lot of breeders, we are tired of dishing out phenomenal dogs for y’all, and going through losses and heartbreak, and going through successes and wins, only to have y’all expect something for nothing. If you are not financially ready for the commitment, that’s ok. Save up! But please, stop forcing a lot of WONDERFUL breeders to lower prices, jump through hoops, and try to make miricles happen so you can get EVERYTHING you want and need in a pup for mere pennies. My two babies that crossed the rainbow bridge knew nothing but love. But we push on to focus on the ones that are doing great. We don’t even get to mourn when something awful happens. And if you have not lost one, you haven’t been doing it long enough. At some point, the price haggling has to stop. You are not buying a used car. You are buying a lifelong companion or show dog or breeding dog. We have loved them, raised them, and treated them as if they are our own kids. We will continue to do so because it is our passion and HEARTWORK! And to our amazing owners, we thank y’all greatly for loving our babies and retirees when they leave us. Seeing them grow and thrive and seeing the love y’all have for them, and them for y’all, is why we do what we do. That’s all, that’s the post. Kisses and such 💋

I just had the prettiest litter arrive! 5 males 3 females. Red tris are one of each and 2 red merle females and 5 red merle males. All are super super dark red.

Well after 5 weeks on the truck with my husband the new zipcode for him never showed up at the place they were to meet up. So this beautiful boy is still looking!

This handsome boy is on the truck with my husband and headed eventually to his new home in upper Michigan.

Copied from another breeders post. Definitely words of wisdom. How many of the "I'm going crazy because my puppy is (take your pick)" are because they chose a pup that doesn't fit their lifestyle? Worth the read.

Any breeder will tell you- almost all they hear from prospective buyers is "I want a blue/red merle with two blue eyes." Very rarely does anyone ask about drive, temperament, activity level- all they care about are the spots. As a breeder, this drives us nuts! 🙈🙈

Sure, you are welcome to get what you want but please understand, you are going to LOOK at the color but you have to LIVE WITH THE DOG. I love my merles and my tri dog equally but limiting yourself to only merles automatically excludes half of the litter (on average) from your choices regardless of how ideal they may truly be for your family. So you want a more mild mannered merle- but the only merles are high drive and active so you settle for a 30% fit merle instead of the darling little tri that would fit in with your family PERFECTLY. Who is going to make up that 70%? You or the dog?
“But the merles are just prettier!” Look into the soulful brown, amber or blue eyes of a tri with their sharp, contrasting markings and tell me that isn't a beautiful dog inside and out. 🤗🤗

Something to consider..
Tris come from the same parents and have the same amount of effort put into them as the merles. By selecting a tri, you can often end up with pick of the litter in either conformation, temperament, or both simply because the merles were chosen first based strictly on looks.
Consider more than the color, and don't forget to look at those precious solid babies dying for you to notice them. Don't pass up your ideal best friend simply because they were born a different color. Giving a tri a try may be the best thing you'll ever do. You'll never know if you don't TRI!

Wondering what you need when you bring your puppy home ? Some things to consider:

36” crate (& 24”crate)
X-Large child safe teddy bear (no removable parts like eyes or nose) your puppy has never been alone and a teddy bear will provide some comfort in the crate
Slow feeder Puzzle bowl (ceramic)
Lick mats
Kong Wobbler (slow feeder/treater/entertainment)
Kongs to stuff:freeze-feed
Snuffle mat

Grooming:
Slicker brush
Undercoat rake
Grayhound comb
Flea comb
Pin brush
Toothbrush
Nail trimmer (Trim nails weekly !!!)
Everything you want to do an an adult start now.
Puppy coats dry quickly ! Baths if dirty otherwise dry them comb them out p**f clean!

Long lead (for training)
Flat collar
Harness
Do not expect your puppy to trot around on a leash right away. Carry them. The day they come home remember Everything is brand new.

36” crate is all you need some like to start with 24” but most crates come with an adjustable/removable wall so you can make larger as your puppy grows.
Yes, absolutely crate train your puppy!! You will likely want more than 1. One for common areas and 1 for the bedroom where your puppy will sleep.
Every-time you take your puppy out of the crate carry your pup outside to potty. EVERY TIME!
About 15 minutes after your puppy eats/drinks they will also have to potty. They are a lot like conveyor belts!!

For those who have another dogs DO NOT feed your puppy with your older dog. If your dog has never had to share anything feeding time is not the time to find out how they will react. Food is typically of high value to your dog. Puppies have no manners and won’t hesitate running over to your older dogs bowl placing the puppy at risk of harm. I like to feed them in the crate or x-pen to prevent them from getting into anyone else’s space when feeding.

Plan to feed 3x/day 1/2-3/4 cup in time increase according to activity and body mass.
Your puppy has had:
100% pumpkin
Sardines
Tuna
Yogurt
Cottage cheese
Raw beef
Coconut oil (cold pressed virgin)
Olive oil (virgin)
Blueberries
Cooked egg yokes
Chicken boiled

We give small amounts of these a few times a week. Be sure to also add water to your pups food. It’s never ok to withhold water it’s detrimental. Always have a source of water available…as you are potty training ensure you watch your puppy potty outside. If you didn’t see it assume it did not happen!! Pick water up a few hours prior to bed.. Watch for signals circling…sniffing urgently…stopping a task to wander sniffing. Do not be harsh with your puppy’s accidents!! You missed his/her signal do better next time 😉 Aussies tend to walk p*e and walk p**p 🤷🏽‍♀️. Try to observe patterns of elimination…all at once…some here some there… etc
Most try to take a puppy out there potty about hourly, 15 min after eating/drinking/~30 min of play. Praise praise praise!!

Avoid stairs, jumping from furniture etc this is no good for a growing pups joints. As your pup grows they will become adventurous so it can be difficult to avoid their desire to so later.

Crate training. It can be tough. Please use the music playlist, XL teddy bear, elevate the crate at night so your pup can see you. Bring the crate close enough you can put a hand in or fingers to sooth your puppy. During the day keep in common areas place high value chews or toys that are only accessible if inside the crate.
I don’t think it’s a one size fits all with crate training. I do not believe in letting them cry it out for too long. Some crying is normal but it should not be extensive in my opinion. I’ve elevated crates, placed crates right next to my bed, put my fingers between the bars so the pup can touch me, put crates on top of my bed slept close to it and sometimes taken puppies to bed it all depended on what they needed and what I needed. They will get the hang of self soothing it doesn’t have so be day 1.

Couple more things puppies tend to pant very fast particularly at night or just before bed. This is normal. Don’t panic. Be sure to keep it low key for your pup for a few days it’s exhausting taking the world in! Mental stimulation is an effective exercise!!
Do not force your puppy into any situation they are not comfortable with.
