One of my favorite days of the year is here- we come to Wedgwood Academy each year sponsored by one of the student’s parents who booked us for a party a few years back, and wanted their school to enjoy our animals too! How generous is that!! Wedgwood in Fort Worth is a school where kids with learning differences attend, and today they will get to experience many different textures of animals, learn gentle touch, and exhibit their empathy for vulnerable trusting animals and more. These students (and all unique kids!!) always inspire me and say things from a different perspective — and I get such a kick out of that. Parents of kids who walk to the beat of a different drum, your children make the world a better place. ❤️

He could have but instead chose the humble donkey as stated in prophecy: “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Oh my goodness what a great event last evening at the 2024 Weatherford Night Out! We were so busy we couldn’t stop to take many pics of our pen but the crowds were wonderful and the kids were so excited and sweet with our animals! Special thanks to our friends at Riverstone Veterinary Hospital for sponsoring our petting zoo and always being a great community partner! All of our animals are under the care of Dr. Cate and we highly recommend him and his caring professional staff. Also… Thanks City of Weatherford for another great event!!

Our Pearl was found by a local veterinarian wandering and suffering from a gunshot wound. The injury required an amputation of one if her legs and now she watches as our other dogs chase squirrels around our property. She can’t join them. Oh but when she sleeps… she runs!! #RunPearlRun
