Our chickens have been having a great time at our new place. The girls finally got a rooster, George, who has now settled in great. He’s young and was afraid of them all for a while. They get to free range every day, and follow me around for treats any time I’m outside. We also have a group of young chicks, mostly olive eggers, that are learning I’m the treat lady.

Sorry we’ve been MIA on here for a while! In April our first baby was born and in August we bought our first house! We’ve been working on moving and settling in. We have a much better setup for the rabbits and chickens now so excited for the future. We got a rooster and hatched some Olive Eggers last week and just bred a couple of the does for the first time in a while this morning. We’ll be back in baby bunnies soon!

Finally have some baby buns again! Peter successfully bred Marigold, Delilah, and Delfi the second time around. So excited for these GORGEOUS kits, pics from yesterday at 4 days old.

Two of the three ladies who got to visit Peter were excited and pulled fur the first night I gave them their boxes. 🤞🏻 we see some babies this weekend.

We spent yesterday at Baker Creek’s Fall Harvest Festival. It was amazing to see their place and I got so many cool seeds!

I’m so thrilled to add some new genes from Rose Oak Ranch to my little herd! Had a great time visiting this morning and picking out these gorgeous buns! Little doe on the left and little buck on the right, now to pick out names 🥰

Really bummed I lost one of my favorite does Lyra a couple weeks ago (seems like she went septic from a decreased kit) but I’m enjoying seeing these two boys of hers growing up.

The size difference between Delfi’s largest kit and smallest kit is insane! The big one is a monster compared to everyone but the little one was definitely struggling to keep up. I fostered the little one to Rosemary’s litter. She already had a couple smaller kits and I’ve been shelving her big kits every other day or so so the littles can catch up. This little one has a nice full belly now with its new family!

The garden is doing so much better this year than last. I still think the soil we brought in last year sucks but amending it with bunny poo has definitely helped a ton!
