Flu vaccine update: today the two canine flu vaccine manufacturers let us know that they HOPE to have more vaccines available to ship in April, but they cannot guarantee that. If you have boarding scheduled at facilities that require flu vaccines, talk with your boarder and see where they recommend getting this vaccine.

We've received many calls today about the contagious respiratory illness outbreak in dogs, and most cases can be traced to recent boarding or grooming events. Use caution when allowing your pets to interact with other dogs, especially if you don't know if other dogs are healthy or not. Signs to watch for include coughing, lethargy, inappetence, and nasal discharge.

Symptoms to watch out for include coughing, fever, sneezing, a refusal to eat or eye/nose discharge.
