Thanksgiving is all about good food and gratitude, but some household favorites aren’t safe for pets.

🚫 Do not share: turkey bones, onions, garlic, grapes/raisins, chocolate, ham/ham bones, gravy, alcohol, and rich or fatty foods. Also, keep an eye out for any products containing xylitol!

✅ Safer treats: a small taste of plain turkey (no skin, no seasoning) or plain veggies like green beans and carrots (no seasoning, butter, onions or garlic).

We are deeply saddened to share that our sister hospital, Animal Hospital of Park Glen, has closed her doors. For 33 years, AHOP has been a place where families found comfort, trust, and devoted care — a true home for generations of pets and the people who loved them. It also shaped the careers of so many incredible veterinary professionals whose compassion continues to impact our community today.

Our connection with Park Glen runs deep. For years, our doctors and teams moved between both locations, giving our clients seamless care and familiar faces no matter which lobby they walked into. AHOP was the original practice in our shared story, and when Alliance Animal Health Center was later built just a short distance away, many Park Glen families followed the team they trusted. In many ways, we’ve always been one extended family — and today, that feels more true than ever.

We are especially grateful that Lexy and Tamara have joined us at Alliance. They have been part of the Park Glen and Alliance story for more than a decade, caring for pets with a level of heart, loyalty, and dedication that clients instantly recognize. Having them here brings comfort, continuity, and a familiar sense of home for our Park Glen families.

AHOP’s legacy is one that will always matter to us, and we are committed to carrying that spirit forward.

To everyone who called AHOP home:
It would be our privilege to continue caring for your pets with the same heart, trust, and dedication that defined Park Glen for so many years.

Our doors are open. Our team is ready.
Welcome to the Pack — we’re honored to walk this next chapter with you.

Our pets come in all shapes and sizes, but how can we tell if that shape is healthy or not?
Ideally:
❧You can easily feel their bones when hugging them around the middle and you can feel fat too
❧Their waist is visible when looking down at them

The Association for Pet Obesity Prevention created these diagrams to help to evaluate your pet’s body shape at home ⬇️
