Our Story
Furbaby Home Care is a home pet sitting service available to the Hurst-Euless-Bedford areas as well as Richland Hills and North Richland Hills. It is operated by Rebecca Uerling, who has been pet sitting for nearly 16 years as an individual and with companies such as Your Pet Staff.
Rebecca is a 30 year old woman born and raised in Texas, working a full time data entry job in Bedford. She loves animals, writing, reading, journaling, crafting, and so much more. Working a set schedule Monday through Friday allows her time to schedule her pet clients around her schedule during the week and weekend. Rebecca has always had a love of animals of all kinds. She has had pets from hamsters and guinea pigs to cats and dogs as well as various aquatic animals. She began caring for a neighbor’s dogs and birds at the age of 14 and from then on, it was like second nature to care for pets. At the age of 17, she began searching for pet sitting companies to work for. Though she was too young at the time, she kept applying for one local company. They were gracious and let her know the minimum age to work for them was 21. So, years later, when she was back in Texas after a stint away, she applied for that same company and began working for them. It was easy for her to meld visiting multiple clients at a time into her schedule, even while working a part time job. In 2012, Furbaby Home Care was born in Ogallala, Nebraska. Rebecca had moved to this small rural town in Nebraska and noticed that the only way for pet parents to ensure their pets were cared for was to send their pet off to boarding at the veterinarian’s office. Taking a pet out of their home while their parents are away can be extremely stressful for the pet who may not fully understand what’s happening. Rebecca saw the need for pet care provided in home and began advertising her services. It wasn’t long before she had a client, then another, and then many more. Now in 2018, Rebecca is back in her home state of Texas and ready to take on pet sitting again. Her dream is to make this her full time job one day. Caring for pets and giving pet parents a sense of peace is something that brings Rebecca joy.
