Beginning with approximately 3,800 horses in the registry, over 1 million Paints are registered with the Association today. APHA ranks second in the number of horses registered annually in the United States, making it one of the largest horse breeds in the world. Although the APHA's primary mission is to record pedigrees, the association is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history, breedi
ng, training, racing, showing, sales and enjoyment of American Paint Horses. More importantly, the heart of the APHA lies in its members, which is why the association strives to develop and sponsor programs that reflect their interests and their love of the American Paint Horse. The APHA's goal is to encourage American Paint Horse owners to find fulfillment with their horses in whatever activities they find most enjoyable, and to give members the opportunity to share in the pleasure of Paint Horses.

APHA is excited to welcome Director of Marketing and Creative Design, 𝐃𝐲𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐬𝐨𝐧, to the team!✨
In his new role, Dylan will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing strategic marketing campaigns for APHA, leveraging his expertise to elevate APHA’s brand presence across various digital platforms.
Prior to joining APHA, Dylan served as a digital content producer for the American Farm Bureau Federation, where he spearheaded various digital initiatives designed to educate, enhance and celebrate the organization’s 6 million members. His proficiency in producing engaging video content and managing social media platforms contributed significantly to the success of the Farm Bureau’s outreach efforts.
“Dylan’s passion for creating captivating video assets as part of a well-rounded marketing strategy is evident in his impressive track record,” APHA Senior Director of Communication Jessica Hein said. “We are thrilled to welcome him to the APHA team and leverage his talents to reach an even larger audience of Paint Horse aficionados and Western lifestyle enthusiasts.”

The emphasis in all classes will prioritize training and horsemanship over movement. Participants must also adhere to APHA Legal Tack & Attire specific to their chosen discipline for each class. Scoring will align with APHA rules for each respective class, with additional rules specified in each class description. All classes will undergo judging in accordance with applicable APHA rules for Novice/Walk-Trot classes, encompassing disqualifications, OPs, and so forth.
