Here's an update on Sandy, the Squirrel. I've had him now for a week as of today, Sunday, March 23rd. He is still receiving kitten formula from a syringe. In addition to that I have discovered he likes strawberries and "Cuties" oranges. Yesterday, I received two Squirrel feeding huts that hang in the trees. We assembled one, hung it up and filled it with food. He ate some of the corn. Sandy feels very safe with me and my 7 yr old granddaughter Sophia.

SANDY, the Squirrel
I found Sandy on the edge of the driveway on Sunday afternoon, March 16, 2025. He must have fallen from one of our trees (the nest) during the storm the night before. He didn't move when I scooped him up. He is too small to eat solids, so I am feeding him kitten milk from a syringe. He is precious. He seems to like being held and, he likes to rest on my chest where it is warm. Once he is big enough, I will periodically take him outside and let him feel the grass.

Here is my granddaughter Sophia trying to hand feed two hens. They are not afraid of her but, at the same time they prefer the just getting it off the ground.

Here is Lucky. He is an inside cat but, occasionally he enjoys being outside on a leash to explore. His birthday was celebrated while he was in my care. Please click on my Google Photos link to see more.
