Live Heartworm Under Microscope

HEARTWORM SEASON is upon us! We recently had a patient come in for a heartworm test and tested positive. In the video below you can see a live, moving heartworm! These worms are trasmitted through mosquitos and can infect your pets if you do not have them on proper heartworm prevention. Call us today to schedule a heartworm test to keep your pet happy and healthy!

Miss Harley was very excited to visit us today for her vaccine boosters! She was even more excited to earn some treats from one of our assistants Faith. Don't forget to keep your pets up to date on vaccines:)

We got a heartworm positive patient this afternoon 🙁 This particular dog lived in the Alderpoint/Garberville area. A simple heartworm test came up positive, but the real proof is the presence of the heartworm microfilaria in the blood. It's real, folks!
