This is the life she knows 🤍
Surrounded by animals who are safe, loved, and trusted—and who trust right back. Addis didn’t see a baby… he saw a friend. Gentle, curious, and careful, just as he’s learned to be. And she? She loves them with her whole heart. No fear. Only comfort.

This is what rescue looks like when it works. When animals are given patience, consistency, and kindness, they become calm, gentle souls—safe enough for even our smallest humans to grow up beside.

Your support helps create this kind of world. One where animals heal, children learn compassion early, and love is something felt by everyone—two-legged and four.

🔹️At Creekside Farm and Equine Rescue, we care for the animals others have forgotten. Every gift helps give them love, safety, and a second chance.🔹️

"The righteous care for the needs of their animals." – Proverbs 12:10

Life at the rescue is brought to you by animals who did not read the manual.

Case in point: our hen. She has a coop. She has nesting boxes. Yet every single day she lays her egg on her blanket… on the deck… right by the back door. We assume she prefers comfort, security, and being close enough to ask for room service. 🐔🥚

Next up, this week's egg haul — a fine assortment of browns and greens, laid by hens with strong opinions and absolutely no regard for our expectations. Farm fresh, free range, and full of personality.

And because this place refuses to be normal, here’s our ferret… on a leash… going for a walk outside. Like a very bendy dog who woke up and chose chaos. No neighbors. No witnesses. Just vibes. 🦦

This is rescue life.
We run a sanctuary, not a circus — though some days it’s a tight race.
Sarcasm included. Love required. And yes, apparently anything is leash-trainable. 💛

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas! We're thankful for our many blessings, Salvation, another year spent with family, and the health to be able to have a normal Christmas morning with our girls. ❤️ We pray everyone feels this same amount of love and joy every day of the year.

And remember, look around you. Count your blessings. Be present in the moment, and never judge yourself based on what you see another family posting through a screen. 🎄❤️

The animals are all loaded up on hay, have full bellies and enough food to eat through the night, and have shelter from the insane wind. It's going to be COLD out tonight - if you find an animal, please find it in your heart to ensure it has shelter, even if just for overnight. Things like kittens, puppies, and others WILL freeze to death in these temperatures.

As we close out the last day of November and look back on this season of thankfulness, our hearts are full. This year’s pumpkin donations have been nothing short of incredible.

Neighborhoods gathered them.
Children picked them out and proudly brought them by.
Families loaded up their trucks and dropped them off.
And so many of you shared our posts and recommended us to others.

This has been the biggest and most generous response we’ve had of pumpkins since opening our doors nearly six years ago. The picture below doesn’t even come close to showing everything that’s come in. Y’all have amazed us.

We are truly blessed with the BEST supporters, and you’re the reason we’re able to keep doing what we do. You make this possible — every rescued animal, every full belly, every step forward.

We won’t be doing any more pickups, but we will gladly accept drop-offs anytime. Your kindness continues to carry us.

Thank you for loving our little farm and standing with us all these years. Our gratitude runs deep.

It's hay time again! Or as Tuna likes to think of it, a new Ninja Warrior course!! Our farmer had to raise prices, so each bale now costs us $45. We can usually make 1 round bale last 1 week, but the forecast is showing cold temps next weekend, so we need to grab as many bales as we can to make sure everyone has full bellies during the cooler weather! Did you know that digestion is the best way to keep livestock warm? 24/7 access to hay = a full belly = constant digestion = warmth! Can you help us keep the babes warm and fed?? Every penny adds up, so please don't feel like even the smallest donation can't make a difference! Unable to donate? That's OK!!!! It is completely free to click that share button, and is a huge help to further our mission!

We are aware of the current EVH-1 outbreak out of Texas. Because of the ease of transmission, we will be closed to all visitors, including farriers, chiropractors, etc. Anyone who may come in contact with another horse is asked to not visit the rescue. While we are aware it was focused in Waco, we can't know where every visitor as been, and whether or not a horse they were around had been exposed, even indirectly. Because of this, we also ask that all donations be left at our gate, and we will take the proper precautions to thoroughly sanitize all items before introducing to our herd.

Inserting my best Sir David Attenborough voice...

Ah, here we see the elusive Silver Labrador — a curious creature known for his unremarkable intelligence, bottomless stomach, and complete disregard for personal space.

Watch closely, as he approaches his prey: the wild Halloween pumpkin. Once a common porch decoration, now discarded after the migration of trick-or-treaters, it has found itself in dangerous territory.

Notice the Lab’s stealth... or at least, his attempt at it. He believes he’s invisible, despite being roughly the size of a small horse and breathing louder than a leaf blower. He sniffs, circles, and—ah, there it is—the first nibble. Magnificent.

With the finesse of a toddler eating spaghetti, he begins his feast. Seeds fly, pumpkin guts scatter, and yet, our noble beast persists. He is focused. Determined. Heroic.

Truly, nature at its finest.

🎃 Remember, don’t toss your pumpkins — donate them! Our farm animals (and apparently, our dogs too) think pumpkins are the greatest fall delicacy around.
👉 Bring your unpainted, unbleached, un-bedazzled pumpkins or gourds to Creekside Farm & Equine Rescue — they’ll go to good use feeding our pigs, goats, chickens, and other critters.

📍 Drop-offs welcome anytime at the gate.
