Puppies will be available to go to their forever homes on Monday Jan 22nd

Jolene's puppies are officially passed 8 weeks old and once they are spay/neutered and microchipped they will be ready for their forever homes!!!!

All puppies have been started on heart worm prevention, have received two rounds of wormer and 2 rounds of vaccines now. After adoption they will still need at least one round of vaccines based on your vets recommendations.

Robin is looking for her forever home so that she can finally have the life she deserves. Meet Apollo,
Apollo is a owner surrender due to no fault of his own. In fact he is being fostered by a family member until adopted. He is a super sweet stunning boy that is just to much for the family member to handle. Apollo is fully vetted though we do need to get him chipped before he is ready for his forever home. Apollo is good with children and other dogs but has never met a cat to know how he would be with them. He is just over 4 years old currently and was just neutered recently.

Meet Cannon,

We broke Cannon out of the Roswell jail and he will arrive today! Cannon is estimated to be 6-8 months old. He is good with other dogs. Once her arrives today we will have much better pictures and know more about this sweet puppy. He does have a docked tail with natural ears.
He will need vetted before he is ready for his forever home as he isn't neutered yet.

Jolene will need to make monthly trips to Colorado Springs for treatment and will be officially be able to be homed in May/June when her treatment is completed and she is ready for spay.

Penny is available through one of our rescue friends - Doberman Rescue of New Mexico

Penny is a four-year-old, all-natural Doberman mix. She is extremely loving and gets along well with other dogs, strangers and children. She is very energetic and loves to run. Because of that she makes a great running partner and can run for many miles. She loves to be outside, but she needs to be in a yard with a high, durable fence that she can’t get through, because she will try.

Penny is well-loved by her family, however, as her family is growing and with both parents holding full-time jobs, they just don’t have the time, energy or attention she needs. She is a really great family dog; she just needs someone who can exercise regularly with her or who has a big yard with a tall fence (over 6′) for her to run and play.

Penny is housebroken. She has a high prey drive so no chickens or smaller animals. Not sure how she does with cats.

She would make an active family a wonderful companion!

One of our rescue friends needs help getting dogs to their forever homes for the holidays.

This girl is very very special to us as our President went out and helped catch this girl when she was on the run in Divide for 6 weeks. Was kind of hard to let her go back to NM after that even.

Cricket (formerly Red) has quite the tale to tell. Not really socialized by her previous family but loved up until the owners died, we knew she needed a home that could understand her fear of so many things. We hoped her experienced adopter understood and would listen; however, two weeks after he took her home, he allowed her off leash in the mountains of Colorado. When we learned she was missing, she had already been on the loose for two weeks. A trap and food was left in the area she was last seen but she was leery of the trap. Almost seven weeks after she was turned loose, we received a miracle when Cricket approached one of the volunteers [who was] leaving fresh food and that she was quickly captured! She weighed 38 pounds but the vet gave her a clean bill of health. We documented her story on our page if you’d like to read about her journey.
Cricket is now close to 70 pounds, a beautiful, red girl. She is in a foster home with other Dobermans and is really coming around. She is gaining confidence from the other dogs and has learned how to play!! She warms up to visitors quicker than when she arrived. She is smart, loving and happy.
Cricket is five years old, spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on preventative for heartworm. Her ideal family has knowledge of Dobermans, has a calm household and is willing to give her space to become accustomed to yet another new place, not push her or introduce another dog right away, give that a day or so. She is a wonderful lady and can be the love of your life with patience. She is in foster with a little old Poodle but she does have a high prey drive, so active little dogs or cats may not be suitable for her.

So we are a little late with this post but please everyone wish Pearl a Happy 14th birthday!! Pearl turned 14 on Dec 10th! She’s been a sweet pup to all and enjoys a daily walk or two. Many days when I’m out doing chores if I take to long before the walk she does it herself on the mowed path around the property, like a little old lady who must walk every day and pays no mind to your schedule.
Every day is a gift with her. I’m grateful she has made it to 14 as a Doberman, especially given a couple of health issues and moments we thought were the end in the last couple months.
