Don't forget as you're running around today getting ready for the holidays before the big storm, to drop an item in our barrels to help the homeless animals at the shelter. The stores where our barrels are located are Premier Pet Supply in Brighton, VG's Grocery in Howell, Pet Supplies Plus - Brighton, MI and the The Wild Indoors Pet Supplies in Pinckney. When you decide to drop some spare changes into one of these boxes you may wonder where does the money go? who picks it up? how much do they make? Here's the answers to your questions - the money goes toward medical expenses, supplies, etc. for the many homeless animals the shelter helps every year, the boxes are monitored by volunteers, and recently, we collected $187 between five boxes. So please know when you drop that spare change in the box you are helping a furry friend who needs you!

This holiday season FLCAS is asking for donations of pet food and supplies for the shelter. We have placed barrels at various stores throughout Livingston County where you can donate when you shop. We are honored to have been chosen by FlexTech High Schools Media Arts class. They created a fundraiser called K9konnections to raise money to help shelter pets. Keith from FlexTech High School presented us with a check for $4837.73.
Thank You Keith and the Media Arts Class, you will be helping many homeless animals in need!
