Tessa made it home and is snuggled up in her stall tonight! She’s not happy about not having access to her runout (small fenced in area outside her stall). But I told her it’s Dr. orders!
If all goes well, the Vet will be out in 10 days to remove her stitches. In 45 days the Vet will x-ray to see how the jaw bone is healing. If it looks good she will have a procedure to have the metal plate and screws removed between 45 to 60 days post-op. Thank you everyone for sending Tessa good vibes and keeping her in your thoughts. She’s a special mare to our family and extra special to Olivia ❤️

Update: Vet called and said Tessa is doing great and she can come home on Monday!

Tessa is out of surgery and in recovery.
Vet said it went really well!

Princess Tessa🦄 Our unicorn hasn’t been feeling well the last few weeks. Vet is coming back out tomorrow to look her over again. We think it might be a bad tooth.
