Spring is here!!! The flowers are blooming and wildlife is coming out, especially the babies!
As many of us know with all the new babies out and about it is sometimes hard to know when, if, and how to help the wildlife.
It is important to know a few general rules and some resources when in doubt!
Most wildlife mothers know best which means they minimize times with babies to prevent predators from being attracted to them, ie mom bunnies only come to nest twice a day for feeding, deer will leave the fawns in a place they feel is safe (such as your yard), coyotes have dens and will keep a perimeter around the den to protect their young.
It may appear these babies are orphaned when in fact the mother is close by watching!
We want to minimize our interference whenever possible and not "kidnap" wildlife. Attached is some helpful information about wildlife and some resources in the event you do find babies in need!
Also, you can always contact Animal Control when in doubt!

UPDATE!!! He has been caught!! Huge thank you to Mansfield animal control in their assistance with apprehending him and Missing Dogs Ma in their continued assistance with lost dogs, and thank you to everyone for keeping us updated on all the sightings!!!
Tonight he is warm, fed, and dry!!!

Update on dog found on Willow st!!!

We are working with missing dogs Massachusetts to try to locate and come up with a plan for this dog. As appreciative as we all are for the efforts, we do ask for people to please not go out and attempt to locate the dog on their own. Doing so makes it impossible for us to be able to find the dog and trap the dog since the more people that go out the more likely it is to push the dog further away and less likely it is for us to keep him in an area long enough to trap him. If there are any sightings of the dog if you could please send them via email to animal control privately instead of posting on social media so we could minimize foot traffic going through there to increase our chances of catching this poor pop! If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out.

It seems Foxboro has some turkeys that are starting up trouble again! Please click the link to read about how to prevent conflicts with turkeys!
Also, a friendly reminder to never feed wildlife! Even in the cold months they will be able to survive without interference from humans!!

Wild turkeys thrive close to people in suburban and urban areas. Follow these best practices to make your property less attractive to turkeys.
