Hopeful Hearts Animal Rescue Hopeful Hearts Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foster base animal rescue.

Our mission at HHAR, is to provide quality care and compassion to sick or injured-unwanted, abandoned stray animals and senior pets, before getting them ready to find their forever homes. HHAR also works to educate the public about the importance of spaying and neutering their pets to avoid over population, while striving to bring animal welfare awareness, in hopes to stop animal neglect and abuse

. We are a 501(c)(3) foster base rescue group, that prioritize as follows:
medical emergencies of a stray, abuse/ neglect of a stray or owned animal, with no signs of aggression and senior pets. If you need help or assistance with getting your pet fixed, ask us about out discounted vouchers, for low-income families. Ways to donate:

Attention, Residents of Marion County, MS!

Due to rising costs, we regret to inform you that there will be a price adjustment for our affordable spay/neuter services offered through Marion Pet Care

Please find the updated prices and procedures outlined below.

⭐️Remember, to obtain a voucher, you must reach out to our rescue directly, as the clinic does not manage this process.⭐️

Spay/Neuter K9- 105.00

Spay/Neuter Feline- 65.00

Please note that the listed prices do not include the expenses for anesthesia or any medications required for home care. Additional charges may apply if your dog is in heat or pregnant, depending on their weight and the stage of pregnancy.

For pets over the age of 7, a bloodwork is required to ensure there are no hidden health issues before administering anesthesia, which costs $100.00.

If you do not have current veterinary records, your pet will need to receive a rabies vaccination, which is mandatory in Mississippi, at a cost of $15.00, as well as a Kennel Cough vaccination for an additional $15.00.

Our rescue strives to bring affordable pet care to our community and partners with local clinics to bring low cost spay/neuter services to prevent unwanted litters. If extra assistance is needed we will help in anyway that we truly can.

We are seeking passionate individuals from Foxworth to Hattiesburg who care deeply about animal welfare and enjoy connecting with others. Join our team and be part of our mission to support those in need.

Our organization is entirely volunteer-based, and you can contribute according to your own schedule.

We will start holding monthly meetings to keep all volunteers informed about our activities and provide a platform for sharing opinions, ideas, networking opportunities and creating bonds.

For those interested in fostering, we offer informational resources and brief training sessions as well to help you get started. Once you complete the training, you will receive a certificate that will be kept on file.

If animal rescue resonates with you or if you're thinking about becoming a foster caregiver, we would love to hear from you and discuss how you can get involved!

Exciting news 🗞️ on the pup front!

Do you all recall the adorable basset duo Cowboy and Auther? They’ve been renamed Baxter and Baz, and they’re absolutely thriving! These little guys are completely spoiled, showered with love, and adored by everyone around them. They even got their own statues that look just like them! 🥰

Becoming a foster caregiver for a rescue organization is an incredibly fulfilling journey. While there are certainly challenges along the way, few things compare to the joy of knowing you've shown kindness, provided a safe haven, and helped save a life. YOU play a crucial role in their story of second chances, and YOU become their HERO!

Many people often wonder how we manage this emotional endeavor or how we can let go without becoming too attached. The truth is, we do form bonds, but we prioritize the animal's well-being above our own feelings.

Fostering isn’t about our personal desires; it’s about ensuring these animals receive the best possible opportunity for a happy life. We nurture them, socialize and train them, offer comfort, and take them to their veterinary appointments—all out of love. Our greatest reward is watching them find their forever homes with families who will cherish them just as much as we do.

As we receive an overwhelming number of calls daily about pets in need, and with kitten season approaching, we're actively looking for new foster homes to support our rescue efforts. Pup date update! Late ⏰ but positive post! Mollie had her recheck Friday and we wanted to keep you all informed regarding her progress.🐾❤️ She's gained 4 lbs, her lungs and heart sound better, and she's overall feeling improved despite still being sick. The doctors added benazepril to her medications and are keeping her on prednisone and doxycycline; preparing her for heartworm treatments! Her personality is shining through more each day, and she's still loving the outdoors but tolerating indoor rest when needed.
