When temperatures drop below freezing, it can take as little as 30 minutes to an hour for water to start freezing solid. For dogs chained up outside 24/7, this means their water bowls can quickly turn to ice, leaving them without access to hydration. 🐾💔
Michigan needs stronger laws to protect outdoor dogs from harsh weather. No animal should have to endure freezing temperatures without proper shelter, warmth, or care.

A Little Guy in Need 🐾
During Sunday outreach, we came across this little guy chained to a post. With the help of a good samaratin and another local rescue, he was safely secured and transported to animal control. ❤️
We’re not sure if his owners abandoned him or if someone found him and, unsure what to do, chained him to the pole to keep him safe from the busy road. Regardless, he’s now at animal control, where he’s waiting for an owner to come forward.

This past weekend, we said our goodbyes to sweet Boba, aka Jerry as he found his forever home! 🐾
