💅🐾 Meet Eloise — The Queen Has Arrived! 🐾💅

Eloise needs no introduction… and trust us, she knows it. 👑 She’s beauty, she’s grace, and she’s everything you could ever want in a Chihuahua! ✨

This young adult fashionista has only been in our foster program a short time, but you’d think she’s lived there forever. She made herself right at home — ruling the couch, charming her humans, and blending in effortlessly with her furry foster siblings.

Eloise is doing well with pottying outside, does great with other dogs, and seems completely unbothered by most things. She’s perfectly content to do her own thing… until it’s time to curl up for a nap, preferably on a soft blanket or a warm lap. 💤💖

🚨🐾 FOSTERS NEEDED 🐾🚨

The following three dogs were found by local animal control in heartbreaking condition. 💔 As you can see from their photos, they are severely emaciated and in desperate need of care, comfort, and love.

We don’t know their past — their owners, their story, or what they’ve been through — but now that their legal stray hold is up, we’re determined to give them the fresh start they deserve. 🌿

Before we go any further, we want to take a moment to extend a huge thank-you to the incredible animal control officers who have cared for these dogs over the last week. 🙏 Their dedication, compassion, and quick action made sure these three didn’t succumb to starvation. Their care quite literally saved their lives. 💙

Now, these dogs need the next piece of the puzzle — TLC and a loving home (and a temporary one). 🏡

We are urgently seeking individual foster homes (or fosters with intent to adopt) for each of these sweet souls:

🐾 H***h – Male Rottweiler, estimated 1–2 years old
🐾 Teddy – Male Great Pyrenees mix, estimated 1–2 years old
🐾 Sugar – Female Pointer mix, estimated 4–5 years old

Despite everything they’ve endured, all three are incredibly friendly and social and appear to do well with other dogs. Their resilience and gentle spirits are truly inspiring. 💕

Right now, what they need most is a warm home, full bellies, and soft beds to rest their weary bodies. Whether you can foster short-term or are considering adopting, you can change their story forever.

Remember Bo, the 6-month-old Shepherd/Hound mix who survived a Utica cruelty case? The pup who arrived underweight, flea-ridden, and scared — but won over his vet tech so completely that he became his foster? 💔➡️💙

Well, here’s the glow-up: Bo is doing well! He’s packed on healthy pounds, his coat shines, and his playful puppy energy is in full swing. Medically cleared, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped — he’s 100% adoption-ready! 🏡✨

We’re so excited to share that Aries was adopted last night! 🎉 This sweet boy now has his very own family who’s already head-over-heels in love with him.

None of this would’ve been possible without our incredible fosters—the real MVPs of rescue! A HUGE shout-out to Brandon, who dropped everything when we needed him most. With just 15 minutes’ notice, he showed up at the office ready to take Aries home and keep him out of the kennel last week.

Some weeks are tougher than others, and Brandon didn’t just save Aries—he lifted the entire RDO team. He was the bridge to Aries’ happily ever after, and we couldn’t be more grateful! 🙌❤️

🐾💙 Meet Bo — From Cruelty to Care, Now Ready for Forever 💙🐾

At just 6 months old, Bo survived a cruelty case in Utica alongside two other dogs. When he first arrived, he was severely underweight, infested with fleas, and in desperate need of help. 💔

But even in those first fragile moments, Bo’s gentle spirit captured hearts — especially the heart of the veterinary technician who helped care for him during his emergency intake. That same vet tech couldn’t forget him and later opened her home to foster Bo. 💙

Since then, Bo has been thriving in foster care, steadily gaining weight, confidence, and strength under her loving watch. He’s now fully cleared of medical restrictions and officially ready to find his forever home! 🏡✨

🧬 Best Guess Breed: Shepherd/Hound mix
🍼 Age: ~6 months

🎓 Where Bo Is Right Now

House Training: In progress (smart and very food-motivated!)

Crate Training: In progress (sleeps in a bare kennel with a hard chew and his favorite TV show playing for comfort)

Bo has separation anxiety and is currently supported with medication (trazodone). When anxious, he can attempt to escape crates and chew items, so he’ll need a secure setup and a patient adopter committed to helping him continue learning that being alone can be safe.

🏡 Bo’s Ideal Home:
• An experienced, patient adopter (ideally someone familiar with anxious dogs)
• A calm, structured environment with consistent training and support (RDO can/will provide training support post adoption if wanted/needed by adopter to support a successful adoption)
• Someone who’s home often or has flexibility to help him continue his progress
• A safe space, love, and patience — the things Bo never had before

Meet Penelope, a sweet and spirited 5-year-old who’s thriving in her foster home after being found as a stray in Rome. She’s left her kennel days behind and is ready to find a forever family to match her joyful, loving personality!

Penelope is short, sturdy, and totally unique — our best guess is bulldog mix… with maybe a touch of pot-bellied pig. 🐶🐷💞 It’s hard to tell from photos, but trust us — her tiny legs and wiggly body make her one-of-a-kind and completely irresistible.

• 🐶 Dog Friendly: Yes! She gets a little bouncy and excited around other dogs but is all love, no attitude.

🌟 Meet Daisy (aka Peanut!), the newest gem in the Rover’s Do Over family! 🌟

This sweet little hound was cruelly dumped by her owner and spent days on the run, scared and alone. But thanks to a determined Good Samaritan who refused to give up, and our hero Beth Shanley who brought a trap to gently bring her to safety, Daisy is now safe, groomed, and glowing with hope! 💖

Rescue truly takes a village—we’re endlessly grateful when compassionate people and organizations come together to turn fear into happy endings. It’s because of this teamwork that Daisy gets a second chance!

Rover’s Do Over has welcomed her into our foster program where she’s getting all the love, vet care, and TLC she deserves. Daisy is estimated to be around one year old. Right now, she’s in a cozy short-term foster home, but Peanut is ready for her FOREVER family—one where she’ll never be abandoned or afraid again.

Daisy can be a little timid at first, but once she warms up? She’s pure love—happily accepting pets and just wanting her person close by. 🐶❤️
