OPPOSE Senate Bill 101 - SB 101 is a bill that would prevent local governments from being able to legislate on the use of “working animals,” potentially overturning dozens of local ordinances regulating horse shows, circuses, and other performing animal exhibits. Call your legislator at 1-800-372-7181 ☎️ to OPPOSE SB 101. (Layla was adopted from the LIFE House For Animals three years ago!)
Oppose SB 16
We would like for you to call your legislator to OPPOSE Senate Bill 16. This “ag gag” bill would make it a crime to document animal abuse at factory farms & meat processing facilities. Ag gag laws have been struck down around the country, and KY shouldn’t be next. Call 1-800-372-7181 to oppose SB 16. (Layla was adopted from the LIFE House For Animals three years ago!)
Please support Senate Bill 119. This bill would finally establish a Cost of Care law in Kentucky, relieving counties and shelters from having to incur the cost of caring for neglected and abused animals who are seized in cruelty cases. Call your legislator to support SB 119 at 1-800-372-7181.
OPPOSE Senate Bill 157
This bill would force communities to allow the sale of puppy mill puppies and kitten mill kittens in pet stores. It would overturn existing ordinances in Elizabethtown, Louisville, & Radcliff and prevent additional ordinances from being enacted. Call 1-800-372-7181 to ask your legislator to oppose SB 157.

Happy tails update. Remember Faith? She was so terrified and pulled at all of our hearts. This is a video of her today in her home. She was adopted a few months ago and has finally become a real dog in an awesome home!
Hi guys! I am Roman, a 7 month old hound mix. I just got back from the best adventure. These nice people let me spend Christmas with them! They had two dogs that were previously adopted from LIFE House and those dogs let me play and sleep with them. I got to go to the dog park and play with other dogs too. Then I went to this other house that had tons of people, more dogs, and presents! Everyone gave me lots of pets and kept saying how good of a boy I was. I didn't tear up anything and I did a really good job of going potty outside. I loved all the playtime. They gave me new toys, lots of treats, and even Christmas pajamas! I didn't like wearing those pajamas too much but everyone told me I was so cute in them. They say I am really smart too! I sure loved spending time in that house and getting to know what it would be like when I find my people. Would you please come visit me so I can see if you could be my new person?
If you are interested in Roman, you can put in an application at https://www.lifehouse4animals.org/dog-adoption/
