Dogs teach us a lot of life lessons without even trying. Pearl for example taught us to never try photographing her directly before dinner! “Hey, you got my dinner?” “Hey you with the camera, is that my dinner?” “I’m wasting away over here!!”

Tangerine may be new to the room but already fitting right in like he's always been a part of the kitten crew.

Tangerine loves to play, explore & can totally entertain himself - though he's just as happy pouncing around with his kitten friends.

"We adopted Hoss (formerly Horatio) from LIFEHOUSE in June 2013 when he was 3 months old. At the time we already had Alley, a stray that was dropped on our property six years earlier when she was about 5 months old. Introducing these two was slow but steady progress and they eventually became good friends but always sleeping in separate locations. Alley passed in 2021 and Hoss missed her. But also became very spoiled as an only cat.

In June of this year we met Chippy at her foster home. Love at first sight. She is the most affectionate, loving cat I’ve ever had and I credit the foster parents. I was hesitant about how 12-year-old Hoss would take to the new addition. But my two-cat household has exceeded all expectations. By the first night, Hoss let his little sister, now named Inga, sleep on our bed. He is protective of her outside. We live on 10 acres and Inga is loving the sights, sounds and smells. He lets her wrestle and bite his ears. He shares his food if she wants it! Hoss was named after my favorite Bonanza character. Inga was named after that character’s mother. How could he not love her? "

Today’s Halloween Costume Event at West Sixth Farm was a blast! Chips and Queso briefly wore costumes, but soon decided they were cute enough without them. We got to talk to two other rescue groups, enjoy some good food and hand out candy. We also got to visit with Lifehouse alumni Stella who was adopted from us in 2019.
