Meet Officer Harris & Sully!!

Officer Harris has been serving with Grand Traverse County Animal Control for almost 3 years, and in that time, she’s met a lot of dogs—but few have stolen the spotlight like Sully.

Sully is a 3-year-old mastiff mix and the ultimate love bug-slash-couch potato. During his recent professional photo shoot, he brought all the charm, then promptly informed Officer Harris that looking this handsome is exhausting and he’d require a nap… immediately.

Sully is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and has potential with other dogs. His adoption fee is just $100—basically the cost of a couple dog beds, which you’ll need, because this boy is serious about his naps.

Come meet Sully—he’s ready to be your co-pilot in couch cuddles and afternoon snoozes!

Hillary is a dog that we thought for sure would get scooped up and find a forever home straight away, yet somehow she is still here at our shelter, waiting patiently. ❤️☹️🐾

We’re on the lookout for a caring, dependable person to join our team! This role is a mix of hands-on animal care and client interaction—perfect for someone who loves pets and people.

Duties include:
🧼 Cleaning kennels & treatment areas
🍽 Feeding, watering & walking animals
🛁 Bathing/grooming assistance
📞 Answering phones & assisting clients
🏡 Helping facilitate adoptions
🩺 Supporting techs and vets
💬 Laundry, restocking, and general clinic upkeep

Requirements:
✔ Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
✔ Great communication skills
✔ Comfortable with animals of all sizes
✔ Reliable, team-oriented, and ready to learn

✅ Part-time to Full-time

Experience is great, but we’re happy to train the right fit!
