My little foster Boston went to her furever home today. I am so very happy for her. She was so timid and fearful when she arrived here but blossomed quite nicely over several weeks of socialization.

Thanks to Rebecca Saager of Boston Terrier Rescue for finding her this excellent home.

Hello everyone,

I am a German Short Haired Pointer looking for a furever home. I am energetic, love to hike, love long walks, would love to jog and very playful. I am always happy. I love chasing birds, catching birds and trying to catch birds. I am great with other dogs and LOVE kids.

Cats I am fascinated by, and they trigger my chase drive.

Graduating from High School through an accelerated homeschool pathway, her dedication and hard work have paid off. Currently working a part-time job and taking classes at Asbury University, she has excelled to reach the stars. Now accepted into the School of Education at Marshall University for the fall of 2025, she has proven how determination can take you as far as you want to go.

Again, many thanks to the team effort in helping Ice/Kai to his forever home. Elaine, Charlie, Isabell, and his amazing trainers from our State Prison Canine Program.

Dear Trainers of Kai (comes from the Ocean) Ice when with you,

My wife and I would like to personally thank you for working with ICE(Orion). We changed his name to KAI. It means “from the ocean”, and when we saw him , it fit perfectly. He’s learned it in less than a week. We have had dogs all our lives. Our last pup, Stella was a Lab rescue, also from a kill shelter. We had her for 13 years, and were devastated when she passed away. She had a tumor in her liver. I had lost my daughter 30 years ago and had a void in my heart till Stella came into my life. When she died, the void was back. We looked on Petfinder for weeks looking for another pup. We are older and this will be our last dog. It had to be a rescue!! When we saw Kai on the website with just two pictures, we knew he was the one! We love him so much and although the void is still there, it is softened by Kai, and he is in his forever home.
When we heard about the Prison program, we were fascinated. We even watched a movie about it. We don’t know what your situation is there, but I can tell you that we are forever grateful for what you did in training Ice/Kai. He is the perfect gentleman! He is well behaved and a lover. We know some of that is just him, but it is also because of you!!!! We hope he gave you as much love as you gave him. And we hope he added love to your lives.

We wish you all the best in your future, and please know we are forever grateful.

Great update story. Thank you Elaine and Charlie for helping us find the perfect home for this little girl. Her brother is excelling in service dog training and will be going home by Christmas.

Update from Lena-Goldendoodle puppy. Thanks so much for reaching out and checking up on our sweet girl 🙂 We’ve decided to rename her Baylee and just feel so blessed to have her in our family!

Baylee has acclimated so well and is proving to be such an adventurous and tough girl. She’s mastering stairs and has practically become attached at the hip to our other dog Ella. We’re really glad she has an older dog to look up to and learn from. Baylee is such a wonderful ball of happiness and she doesn’t let anything stop her! I’ll attach some photos from this last week. :)

We also took Baylee to her first vet appointment on Tuesday and she did very well! I’ll attached the vet form to this email. We will be taking her back to the vet next week for her next distemper/parvo vaccine (the vet told us this week was too soon).

We are doing amazing! He is a ball of fun and love. He loves his new home and friends. He has made lots of other puppy and dog friends and has 3-4 play dates a week. He also went paddle boarding and loved it! Thank god lol. 😂 attached are the vaccines and boosters he got 10/21. I am attaching a couple photos of him loving life. We start our puppy training this Monday 10/28.

Sheba's doing wonderfully well in her new home. We had the second appointment with the trainer and she's already learning at leaps and bounds. Sheba has taken over the apartment and is clearly very comfortable (as you can see from the upside-down sleeping photo below). She also enjoyed a pup cup recently.

Just wanted to send some photos of Monroe. He is thriving and is just shy of 50 lbs! He continues to love to swim and it getting so athletic! Our other dog, DeeDee, is warming up.

Hope you enjoy Autumn as much as we do.
