Y’all it’s HOT in LOUISIANA and I was sweatin’😂So in this video as you can see the dog was VERY matted due to her not being groomed for a while. As a pet parent when you have a dog with a lot of hair, it is very IMPORTANT to brush their coat daily in between grooming appointments for this very reason. ‼️GROOMER’S CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH ‼️Due to so much matting, I had to shave it off prior to bathing and try to save as much hair as I possibly could.However you can see that some of her coat, especially around the foot area is very low due to the matting being so close to the skin. I used the “Smooth Coat Oatmeal Bath Bomb” from @poshiepets bath bomb collection, which will help soothe the irritated skin after shaving off mats as well as condition the coat so the remaining mats can be combed out. What I learned from grooming experience is that CONDITIONING is KEY in the de-matting Process.The way that I have formulated these products, I can CONFIDENTLY stand by them, and say that they are a very helpful and TIME SAVING tool to groomers and pet parents. So in the case with this dog we will allow a few weeks for her hair to grow out and slowly start, blending it in to the rest of the coat over a few more grooming appointments to get her skin and coat back to a healthier state. 😊.
