Romeo is ready for adoption along with a host of other great furry friends down at St. Mary Parish Animal Shelter 🐾

Oh, Romeo…Romeo was roaming the streets looking for Juliet, but was picked up by animal control before he could find her. 😅

Romeo is a sweet little buddy just searching for love! He is around 2-3 years old and 9 pounds. Due to Romeo being a stray, we do not have any information on if he is house trained, good with children, etc. He will require grooming!

Romeo has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is ready for a home where he will get to be the center of attention!

Thank you to Poshie Pets for giving this guy his first haircut in what seemed like a good while!

Batman has been at the shelter for a while, and has even been to an adoption event, but still hasn’t had any interest. 🥲

Batman has a huge personality and is funny and goofy! You’ll never be bored with him. He has done well with children and other dogs, too! Batman would love a home with a yard, as he has lots of energy! Honestly, who can say no to this guy and his ears?

Batman is already neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped! We would love for someone to give this guy a home, so please call the shelter or come by if you’re interested! ❤️🐾

Something as simple as a phone call or knowing the signs of Trafficking can help save a life.

One topic for me that is really important are the 5 stages of HUMAN TRAFFICKING which has made the deciding factor of who is a criminal and who is a VICTIM so much harder. A lot of times the same persons who were Lured and groomed are later used to recruit others after they themselves have been exploited.
So let’s talk about it …..

💙Coercion/Manipulation
💙Exploitation
💙Recruitment

Ways we all can help combat this issue

🚨 Be alert to situations the people around you may be experiencing.

🚨 Ask your elected representatives what they are doing to stop human trafficking. Inform them about what your community needs.

🚨Locate local anti-trafficking organizations. Ask them how you can help. They might need volunteers, resources, or help raising awareness.
