We didn’t plan on keeping any babies back because our herd is full, but then this guy came along and changed that. It’s hard to tell in pictures but he is our first ever odd eye (one red eye, one black eye) that we have produced. On top of being an odd eye, he’s also got the cutest little nose smudge as well. I know if we didn’t keep him, we’d be kicking ourselves for it later down the road.
His 3 siblings are still looking for their forever homes for Christmas!

While we can’t take in a lot of the rescues, I tremendously appreciate those who do and give them the proper care. This rescue in Bloomington does amazing things and I follow their updates often!

Friendly’s little loves. 1 boy and 1 girl. We decided to name the boy Leaf and the girl Autumn. Both of them are 👀 for homes next month.

SURPRISE! Friendly has 2 sweet little babes. 1
male and 1 female. They were born on 10/12 but she didn’t start with only 2 so I was not sharing the news until I made sure they were going to do okay. These 2 are CHUNKS and are thriving and will be ready around Christmas time. I’ll post more pictures as they get older but they will both be available!

If you know Pascal, then you know he is VERY shy. Any time I come in the room he will play statue and freeze in whatever position he was in the entire time I’m in the room. He’s a silly boy. Today as I was cleaning his bin he decided to be friendly and let me hold him and even let me clip his nails! We didn’t plan on a photoshoot, hence the gloves, but I couldn’t resist. How handsome is he?! 🦔

Ranger has now been tried with 2 other breeders other than myself and we are sad to say that he is sterile. So we will be pet homing him! He is super sweet and gorgeous! He is still young, he will be turning 2 in April. He is looking for a new home, if interested, let me know!

Sunday Updates!

I really wish we had some happier updates but unfortunately we do not 💔

We lost both tenrec babies this week, it was an incredibly hard loss and our hearts will be broken for a while. We were so excited to have Tenrec babies and this experience was not a good first one, but we know that it does not always happen like this and are willing to give it another shot next year if we have another litter.

Noona gave birth to 2 babies but there is only 1 surviving at this point. We have been out of town for the weekend so we will know for sure when we get back in town.

We are on baby watch for Friendly, she is due any day now! This will be the 2nd batch of Christmas babies!

Happy October! We are starting the month off on a strong suit because Noona is in labor! 2 little noony beans so far with more on their way. Noona is going to be an AMAZING mother and these babies are going to be equally amazing!

Disclaimer: I did not touch or move the babies at all. I heard noises and went in to check on her and saw them and snapped a quick picture. She is very used to me messing with her so she was unbothered.

Phasma and the babies got lots of love and exploring this week. Phasma has now convinced a few people that they need a Tenrec for a pet now because she is so cool and so chill. They really are such neat animals, my daughter prefers the tenrecs over the hedgehogs at this point and has become such a pro!

Some Saturday cuteness for everyone today. Went to feed the babies and they were all snuggled up inside my daughter’s little hedgehog toy in their bin. We sure do love these little babies ♥️
