💟Our awesome techs, Zoe & Audrey using a Fear Free approach for our adorable friend, Ellie 💟

Fear Free techniques are designed to reduce stress and anxiety in pets during veterinary visits, creating a more positive experience for both pets and their owners. Here at FVC, it's important to us to make our patients feel safe and comforted, so we focus on gentle handling, understanding each patient’s unique stressors, and creating a calming environment. This approach not only promotes better health outcomes but also strengthens the bond between pets and veterinary teams, as animals learn to feel secure during visits. Whether it's using treats to create positive associations or providing a quiet space, Fear Free techniques support both physical and emotional well-being for your pets.

🧔🏻 All of us here at FVC are excited to be participating in MOVEMBER!

Our motivation? To make a difference in men's health, mental health, and su***de prevention. Far too often, men are told they need to be strong all the time and that it’s not okay to sometimes not be okay. We want to help break down these barriers so that more men feel comfortable speaking up and getting the support they need.

We invite you to join us in raising funds for this important cause. We have bracelets and pens available for sale at the clinic, with all proceeds going directly to Movember. Or, feel free to donate directly through our link here:

Thank you for your help and support! Together, we can make a real impact. 💙

Movember, the month formerly known as November, is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

Team members Brittney, Zoe, and Dr. Carignan had the honor of attending America’s Vet Dogs Heroes & Hounds graduation! 🎓 It was an unforgettable experience seeing our patient Demetri graduate proudly alongside his veteran owner. They loved learning more about this incredible program, which truly benefits everyone involved—the dogs, the prisoners who help train them, and the veterans they support. A true win-win-win!

We’re honored to partner with America’s Vet Dogs, providing medical care for service dogs in training. 🩺🐶 These incredible dogs are housed at local prisons, where they receive dedicated training until they’re ready to serve a veteran in need. It’s a rewarding collaboration that makes a meaningful impact on veterans, the dogs, and our community! ❤

We’re proud to once again support the Council for Children’s “Christmas is for Kids” toy and clothing drive 🎄

Please drop off new, unwrapped donations from now through November 27th. A collection box will be available in our lobby for your convenience.

“Christmas is for Kids” is a volunteer-run program that provides gifts for children in Attleboro, North Attleboro, Plainville, Norton, Seekonk, Dighton, and Rehoboth who might otherwise go without new toys and warm clothes on Christmas. Many families face difficult choices between essentials like food and heating, leaving little for holiday gifts. Thanks to the kindness of donors, “Christmas is for Kids” has brought joy and fulfilled wishes for thousands of children since 1983. 🎅🏼

Needed items: New toys and clothing for ages 0-18, such as sports balls (football, soccer, basketball), arts and crafts supplies, journals, games, blankets, pajamas, winter garments, and clothing.

👻Halloween Safety Tips for Your Pets👻

As we gear up for a spooktacular night, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe! Here are some tips to ensure a fun and safe "Howl-ween" for everyone:

🎃Keep Candy Out of Reach: Chocolate, candy, and other sweets can be harmful to pets. Chocolate & xylitol are particularly toxic to pets. Store treats in a secure place to prevent accidental munching!

🎃Costume Caution: If dressing up your pet, make sure their costume is comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement. Avoid anything that could cause choking or irritation & be sure to remove tags that can be ingested.

🎃Secure Your Decorations: Some Halloween decorations can be hazardous. Ensure candles, wires, and small items are out of your pet’s reach to prevent accidents.

🎃Create a Safe Space: With doorbells ringing and visitors coming and going, it’s a good idea to create a quiet space for your pets where they can feel safe and relaxed.

🎃ID Check: Ensure your pet’s ID tags are up to date. If they happen to slip out during trick-or-treating, it’s crucial they can be easily identified.

🎃Keep Pets Indoors: During the festivities, it’s safest to keep pets indoors to prevent them from escaping or becoming frightened by the noise and commotion.

🎃Watch for Hazards: Be mindful of glow sticks and other glow-in-the-dark items. While fun for us, they can be harmful to pets if ingested.

Let’s keep our furry companions safe while we enjoy all the fun of Halloween! If you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s safety, feel free to reach out to us!

Happy Halloween from all of us here at FVC! 🎃
