Final Details for the Mock Trial this weekend (I also emailed them to everyone)
The weekend is almost here! Below are some details that will help us have a fun day!!

The address of the farm is:
139 Carpenter Street
Rehoboth MA

Drive all the way down the driveway to the barn - you will be parking in the big field across from the barn. Please back into your chosen parking spot, so that dogs are not facing out and barking at passers by.
As a reminder - this is a mock trial, so it will be modeled after an NACSW trial and you will be there for several hours. You are welcome to leave once you have run all your searches, but they will not be run back to back and you will not be in and out.

NW1 Details 8/10:
Competitor arrival - no earlier than 8 am
Competitor briefing - 8:45 am
First dog on the line - 9am

NW2 Details 8/10:
Competitor arrival - No earlier than 12 pm
Competitor Briefing - 12:45 pm
First Dog on the line - 1 pm

NW3 Details 8/11:
Competitor arrival - no earlier than 8 am
Competitor briefing - 8:45 am
First dog on the line - 9am

There is minimal shade in the parking area, so please be sure to bring what is needed to keep you and your dog comfortable (shade cloths, fans, pop up tents, water, snacks, etc.).
This is someone's home, so please be respectful of the property. Do not let your dog urinate on man made objects, pick up after your dog, and please do not bother the farm animals if you see any. There is no place for trash disposal, so please be prepared to carry out whatever you bring in - including p**p bags. There will be a porta potty available for the humans.
Attached is the run order. You will be informed of the flow of searches during the briefing.

We had such great feedback & "oh, I wish I had ordered that" on our last shirt that we are bringing it back! I thin people were worried that the color was jade green, but it is not green at all - it is more blue and akin to the PACE teal.

We are taking a rare (much needed) break and closing PACE July 1 - 5. There will be no in person or online classes that week. We will adjust all of the sessions by one week to account for the closure.

Sad news everyone… with the increased pain I completely forgot to video the bfs!!!

Things to note:
There were 16 hides
Each trailer had at least 2 mirrored hides and the one with the wooden poles on it had a third one on the front.
The false given at the pipe along the wall was coming from a wall hide about 10 inches above the pipe, and channeled down.
The false given on the trash barrel was because the hide was in the orange basket of ducks next to the trash barrel.

Entry form for the drawing for entry into PACE team games. Only one person needs to complete the form - but needs to complete it for both team members. You will need both human names, human email addresses, and phone numbers and both dog's names and breeds.

The kits is a sturdy case (similar to a Pelican case) that is 4 3/8 in x 7.6 in x 8 1/8 in and contains:
1.5 oz jars with birch, anise, and clove swabs
3 pairing aids
6 silver slider tins w/ magnets
4 Mylar bags
Tweezers

Volunteers needed for the NACSW Elite, NW1, L1V trials in Kingston, NH on May 4th and 5th.

Don't forget about the volunteer incentive program where you can get double draws for your hours. Also, CEU’s are available for volunteering.

NACSW Trial Review Online Class

Michele Ellertson, CNWI, NACSW CO and judge is offering an online NACSW Trial Review!

We will break the skills/tests down so that ANY LEVEL can take advantage of this opportunity. You don't need to be a Summit level competitor... maybe that's a goal one day? Start building these skills now! They'll only help your lower level goals as well!

This is a 3 week session that will meet via Zoom at 7:15 on Tuesdays, starting 4/23 that will be hosted through a private FB group. Working spots are $100 and limited to 5. Auditing is $50 and unlimited.

We will be reviewing the Centreville, MD Summit trial.

Skills Achievement Title Requirements
The team must complete all 4 skills at a minimum of Level 1 to be eligible for a title.

Each skill at Level 1 will be worth 10 points, each skill at Level 2 will be worth 20 points, each skill at Level 3 will be worth 30 points.
To earn NSA1, you must earn a minimum of 40 points.
To earn NSA2, you must earn a minimum of 70 points.
To earn NSA3, you must earn a minimum of 100 points.
To earn NSAM, you must earn 120 points.

The maximum time for each search, as specified in the Challenge details, must not be exceeded.
