Their noses are packed with scent receptors that help them track, detect, and even identify health issues in humans. It's no wonder dogs are used in everything from search-and-rescue to medical detection.

Let's keep those super sniffers healthy with regular checkups!

Dr. Amy Smith was recently joined by client Cindy Williams and her dachshund, Winston, for an interview by CBS 4 regarding their participation in a new clinical study focused on canine longevity. The study is looking at a medication that helps dogs live longer and healthier lives. It is the largest canine clinical trial in the U.S. with over 1,100 dogs currently participating. (target goal is 1,300) Winston was the 1,000th dog to be enrolled! We will try to let you know when the interview is expected to air - all we know for now is some time in June. If you'd like to learn more about the study and see if your pet may qualify to enroll, please email [email protected].
