is the oldest and largest program in the region and the only program in Middle Tennessee that exclusively serves children and youth with disabilities.

We join the Middle Tennessee equestrian community in great sadness in this loss and in celebration of many wonderful years of guidance and love for hundreds of young riders and their ponies. Our hearts go out to the Anderton family and all who knew and loved Sissie. We know her memory will be a blessing.

At Saddle Up! children grow in strength, confidence, social and language skills, and so much more. In a world desperately in need of kindness, perhaps compassion is one of the most powerful lessons learned. Grace and new rider, Charlotte, share a lesson and Grace helps her new friend walk safely back to the lobby. ❤️ Our riders are so incredibly precious.

We are just a little bit late....but that doesn't dim how brightly July’s Volunteer Spotlight is shining on Madeline M. Madeline served as a dedicated Saddle Up! volunteer while in high school and returned to continue giving back as a young professional. Madeline jumped back into volunteering with both feet, serving each Saturday during the summer and helping to meet program needs as both a Sidewalker and Leader. Madeline also attended Leaderpalooza to advance her leading skills and recently assisted with our New Volunteer Training. Madeline is one of many young professionals who dedicate their valuable free time to ensure that children and youth with special needs are able to reap the benefits of equine therapy. Her bright smile and willingness to help wherever needed is much appreciated! Thank you, Madeline, for all you do!

The Power of a Volunteer

It's VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION WEEK! We celebrate and appreciate our volunteers EVERY day, but this week is extra special with awards, treats, prizes, and a big party next Sunday. We could not do what we do without our volunteers -- it takes hundreds a week to care for the herd, maintain the farm and support our riders. THANK YOU! We have celebrated 2024 Graduates all week! We will miss all of them and will watch their future accomplishments with pride and love! It seems a fitting time to debut an update to SU! Graduate Connor's journey! Connor is a wonderful example of the life-long impact of equine-assisted programs - thank you to the entire SU! community for all you do to keep the rides going!

Saddle Up! volunteer Anthony Sansone is willing to fight for the kids at Saddle Up!. Literally! On February 24, Anthony will be on the card for boxing gala Rumble on the Row at the Factory at Franklin. Each amateur boxer raises money for a children’s charity of choice as well as The Charlie Foundation. We are VERY honored that Anthony chose Saddle Up! A limited number of dinner and standing room only tickets are still available and you can donate directly to Anthony’s total at the links in our bio or comments.

Saturdays are our busiest days here on the farm "Where All Children Are Equal in the Saddle!" and are a great time to get to make new friends, get quality horse time, and share a bond with our incredible riders! Can you give us time on Saturday afternoons? We have 10 leader openings and 7 sidewalker openings in the Spring Session from 12:15 - 3:30. If you can spare an hour, please sign up in Wranglr NOW so that we can guarantee these spots for waiting riders! THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!
