Thank you all again so very much for your continued prayers and support for Lee.

I know quite a few of you remember when he was my first bather/assistant at my old location, or when he was "The Old Man in the Window" when he helped us at my new location on the square. Wanted to let everyone know how he is doing.

Lee is dealing with a massive life change. Without going into specifics, he does not, nor is it likely, he will have much mobility. Nothing life threatening, and he still has his full mind, but his body is not very mobile.

So that's where we are at. The hospital is working with his insurance to get him into a rehab facility and we will go from there.

Again, thank you all for your prayers and support. It means the world to us. When we was sitting up there in ICU on the ventilator I would tell him all the names of all the people who care for and about him.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers, love and support. It has made me and my family feel very valued and we appreciate y’all so much.

Little update/backstory:

Lee fell a week ago Tuesday and absolutely shattered his left arm.

Complications from his COPD arose Sunday night and he had to be placed on a ventilator and moved to ICU.

After the first day on the ventilator they stepped him down and he is breathing on his own. He is still intubated, but they hope to take it out this afternoon/tonight.

Then will begin the long process of PT to get the use of his arm.

We are still at the start of a long journey, but it seems we are out of the woods so to speak for now.

Thank you all once again. And thank you for letting me take care of your pets.

Prayer Request

Many of you know of or remember my dad Lee from when he helped me open Lucy Lou’s 10 years ago.

He is not doing well and I am asking for prayers for him and especially my mom through this difficult time.

Thank you all so much for supporting Lucy Lou’s. It just wouldn’t have happened without him.

We lost one of our longest time clients this week. Gizmo.

Mr. Gizmo was one of those clients that makes you a better groomer.

We had a love hate relationship. He hated grooming, but loved me. He would be grumpy all through grooming. But soon as he was done he wanted to have a treat and a cuddle and was my best friend for the rest of the time he was here.

I love my clients like they were my own. That goes double for him.

Gizmo was a good boy and I will always miss him.

A wonderful soul, an amazing person. She always treated us like family and the last time o saw her she said “Love you guys so much!”

We are looking to fill 2 openings for tomorrow Thursday 6/6. These openings are for existing or new clients.

We have an opening at 9 that is suitable for 1 small/medium pup.

We also have ab opening at 11 that is suitable for 1 or 2 small/medium pups.

We currently do not accept any larger breeds like Shepards, Doodles and Huskys.

If you'd like to secure one of these spots, please call or text ASAP.

The grooming world has been abuzz ever since a FB group member reported booking a new client named. You guessed it…. Milkfart!

Well, Milkfart came in for his grooming today and we are all loosing it over him! I just had to share :)

Thank you all, these openings have been filled.

We have 2 openings for tomorrow. One at 9 the other at 10:30. These spots are open to both existing and new clients and are suitable for smaller breeds (Yorkie, Shih Tzu, Westies, etc.) please text or call if you would like one of these openings.

Wanted to share a little window into our process.

Y’all, Medieval Times is an amazing show! If you are ever near one, I highly recommend it! We will be back working tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing all our pups again.

Merry Christmas! I am so very grateful for all your support over the years. I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love every day and provide a good life for my family and Ms. Reba.
