On this very special day… we appreciate our client’s understanding as we got to go see the eclipse and also celebrate the very special birthday of our Dr Cheek! She is awesome and what better day to have a birthday!

Thank you Doc for being part of our crazy! For caring for the patients of RCVS; for always being patient and understanding towards anyone you meet! And especially for showing grace to others when sometimes you aren’t shown it yourself!

We wouldn’t have wanted to spend the eclipse with anyone else!!!

Easter and Mother's Day are two of the most dangerous holidays for cats for one reason: lily poisoning. 💐

As a part of our No Lilies for Kitties educational campaign, we're kicking off the series by sharing which species of lilies are toxic to cats. We believe that medicine takes us so far and prayer helps along the way. Today, we are asking for prayers for our Miss Kelsey. She has been with RCVS many years and has often been our “cat whisperer”. She is currently dealing with some medical problems and we are hoping you will say a prayer for not only her, but her medical team. She is a woman of few words but loves every single patient that walks in.

RCVS has been monitoring the weather, and will be opening at 10:00 am on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to hard freeze warnings and other severe weather alerts for Central Texas and the surrounding areas. We will be with skeleton crews and appreciate your patience today. We may have staff in before to start opening but please show them grace while the rest of the team arrives. Please call before coming to ensure we are adequately staffed.

The decision was made to open at a later time out of an abundance of caution for the safety of our clients, patients, and employees. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and RCVS will continue to monitor and evaluate the weather conditions in regard to our operations.

Our Hearne Office Cat has decided to enjoy everyone’s coats to stay warm. We are open in Hearne with limited staff. We will be closing early to allow our staff to get home early - but call us if you need something immediately!

DUE TO THE INCLEMENT WEATHER AND ROAD CONDITIONS, we have asked our employees to not risk their safety to arrive at 8am. We are hoping to open closer to 11am with limited staff. If you have an appointment this morning, we will be calling to reschedule or will try and work you in at another time.
