Did you know that to legally sell elderberry syrup, it is required to first take an acidified food processing class in NC? The class helps insure the product is safe for consumption.

Be sure to ask for it if you buy your homemade elderberry syrup from a producer!

When you're done with your unpainted and uncarved, non-bleached pumpkins, my animals would love to have them! Bring them to the farm to throw over the fence and watch them come running!

Pumpkins are great for livestock and serve as a natural dewormer!

Sasha got her stitches out today! Yay!

They would only let one person in with her, and Rebekah has asked to go back, so she did. The vet allowed her to take the stitches out of Sasha! That was a really cool experience for her. ❤️

This morning, I went into my local Sam's Club to pick up a few things, and they were so crowded! I could hardly find a parking spot in the lot!

I don't usually shop there in the morning time, but I needed a few things for Sowing Seeds NC, Inc. today. I asked the lady at customer service if that kind of crowd was normal, and she gave me a resounding "no."

Many of the shelves were quickly becoming bare as fear of the port strike has become a reality. It's a great reminder to buy local, straight from those who produce!

Sasha is still doing well, getting around better each day. Luckily, I haven't had to give her anymore Miralax since the first 2 days home. She still isn't eating much, but she's also laying around most of the time.
