All the barn cats are hard workers on the farm. Keeping the rodent populations under control and keeping the barn and feed safe from contamination. With the cold we go thru more dry cat food.

It never gets easier, and I guess it never should. This past week, what I thought would be as fairly routine vet visit turned into the worst thing possible, a broken leg. While I'm sure there are some instances where this is treated, in our case, a 28 yr old with a break just below the stifle (hip), had only 1 result: saying our final goodbyes. Shezara, you were a calm and steady presence for more years than I can quite remember. Your patience with new volunteers always made you the teacher, quietly allowing them to learn how to handle horses. You put up with being the object of Hank's unending love, though I know I saw you rolling your eyes at his attention. I know he was happy to greet you at Heaven's gate.
You are already missed by many. 💔💔
