P.F. has many senior horses that served their humans well throughout their life and are now retired. Bowie here is a young 28 yrs old and still looks sound and healthy. She is an Azteca who always loved to jump and evented up to the training level. She has been with P.F. Pretty much her entire life.

Horses can be very playful. We put toys in their turn outs to encourage them to chew on them and not each other 🤣 Actually when we observed them playing with sticks, one picking up a stick and trying to get a friend to grab it, we decided to put some balls in for them hoping they’d use them instead. Many geldings seem to enjoy this game, especially the ones that tend to be more oral. Here Kelsey and King are having a great time trying to grab the ball (which is now pulverized) with each other. We try to let the horses be horses as much as they can in between their training sessions.

Two members of the P.F. Team made the 600 mile trek to the Windermere HTs in Grandview, MO to be able to do the Modified level (there are currently only three events that offer the Modified level in Area IX). Both riders had good go arounds with Ron Stephens and his horse High Hopes Viking placing first 🏆and Rochelle Costanza on Eye Candy (owned by Jamie Girouard) placing second (it was their first attempt at this level). It was a nice wrap up for a successful season! Go Team !

Come join the XC fun with ECP Certified Level III instructor Rochelle Costanza to raise money for Jonathan Holling’s USEA Frangible Fence Fundraiser! All monies from this clinic will be donated to the cause! This is for all levels! Sharpen your skills on how to balance your horse up to a xc fence, how to ride ditches, banks, water and more! This can even be done at the tadpole level so bring your greenies out! $70 per rider/horse combo which includes the facility use fee! Maximum of four people per group. Central Colorado Eventing is home to the Spring Gulch Horse Trials but we also offer so much more! We are a 501c3 membership based club that offers cross country schooling, fun and educational opportunities, and year end awards to the front range and all of Area IX! We want to continue to promote the Spring Gulch Horse Trials and also make our club the highlight of our socials.

Eight P.F. Team members attended the Tomora Horse Trials and Area IX Year End Eventing Championships last weekend in Greeley. The weather, venue and event organization was amazing and it was a good time for all!
