Little Miss Layla arrived to PA on Saturday and is up for adoption! She is just shy of 5 months old and UTD on all shots, microchipped, and spayed. She is currently in an awesome foster home with another dog and 4 young kids, who she all gets along with amazingly well! Layla is super cute & ready for a family of her own for the holidays. Little Miss Saffron is still wondering why she hasn’t been adopted yet. All of her siblings are in their new homes and she is the only one left still waiting…. She is almost 20 weeks old, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines. She LOVES dogs of all sizes, cats, and kids. Meeting new people can be a little scary at first, but she quickly warms up and will be your sidekick/best friend. Saffron is currently in a foster home with 3 other dogs and is doing wonderfully, but she’s ready for a family of her own!

EVERYONE MEET BONNIE! Bonnie is one of the most loving dog I’ve ever met. She is full of energy and loves to play but she also loves to cuddle. She thinks she a lap dog. She almost 5 and we think she is some kind of lab/pit mix maybe with a bit of vizsla in there too?

She’s always had a lot of energy so someone with a yard or the ability to take her on good walks would be ideal. She gets along with dogs, cats, and kids. She can be a bit over excited around babies and toddlers.

Overall she is the best dog and deserves a new home where she will get all the love she deserves. She LOVES doggy daycare and is the happiest girl- she also loves the water and to swim in the baby pools at KK9. PLEASE share and contact us for more info 🐾❤️

Garrett & Gerdie are up for adoption and ready for their forever homes.

Garrett is a 1.5 year old playful, goofy boy who gets along well with other dogs and loves people. He’s a strong guy and has a huge heart- he will keep you smiling and laughing all day long!

Gerdie is a two year old lab mix who is very affectionate and loves to snuggle on the couch. She is dog and kid friendly & has the cutest wiggly butt ever! She deserves the best home.

His pink nose and beautiful markings are just so hard to resist and I promise he has the personality to match. He is bound to steal your heart as soon as you meet him. We love him so much, but know he’s beyond ready to be adopted 💙🐾

Anyone looking to adopt an adorable boy named Cole?? He is around 2 ish years old, neutered, house trained, and up to date on all his shots. He is very dog friendly and affectionate, but can sometimes be timid around new people. Once he meets you and gets to know you, he is a total sweetheart!

Cole has been through a lot in his young life. His beloved owner unexpectedly passed away and now he is just trying to adapt to life without him. Please consider meeting this handsome young fellow- he deserves stability and love for all that he’s been through! Contact us for more info please 💙

ATTENTION ALL KAREN’S K9 CARE
CLIENTS!! PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING POST REGARDING SOME IMPORTANT INFORMATION AND CHANGES.

As most of you may already know, there has been a canine respiratory virus going around and affecting many dogs, including ours here at KK9. We made the decision to shut down in January due to the high number of cases so we could get control of the spreading and deep clean the entire facility.

Unfortunately, the virus is still very much around and infecting dogs. We are doing our absolute best to manage this and keep everyone safe because our number one priority will ALWAYS be the well-being of our dogs.

AS OF MAY 2023, we will not be accepting dogs for daycare or boarding without the canine influenza vaccine. Many of you have already gotten your dogs vaccinated, and WE THANK YOU! We know there’s a shortage of supply and vets are having trouble getting them, so that is why we are extending the requirement until May so you have ample time to get it scheduled.

We ask that if your dog is exhibiting ANY symptoms, such as the ones listed below, please DO NOT bring them to our facility.

Symptoms can include:
Coughing/hacking
Sneezing
Fever
Nasal or eye discharge
Spitting/coughing up mucus

Please understand the severity of this virus and how contagious it is- that is why we can’t accept anyone showing symptoms, NO EXCEPTIONS!

You guys are simply the BEST and we can’t thank you enough for sticking with us during this difficult time. ❤️

Just wanted to let everyone know that the soft opening went well and we plan on reopening on Monday 1/30 for daycare and boarding!

Please bring your influenza vaccination records with you or email them to us if you haven’t already! Your dog MUST be symptom free in order to come back- we will be keeping a very close eye on everyone and will be contacting you if we notice any signs of illness.

Hello all, we will be doing a soft opening this upcoming Thursday 1/26. We will be open for daycare ONLY on the 26th and 27th, however we will then close for the weekend (Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th). This will allow us to re-clean everything again and see if any cases arise from the two days being open. IF YOUR DOG WAS INFECTED AND SICK, PLEASE WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE FULLY RECOVERED AND SHOWING NO SYMPTOMS. This means, they MUST wait until at least Monday 30th to return to daycare. This virus can stay in the dogs system for up to 26 days and we cannot risk this happening again.

We have disinfected every square inch of the premises. Daily procedures will be a little different now to help keep up and prevent spreading with this new virus. First, our entire facility will be deep cleaned every night. Second, we will fogging our facility on a daily basis to kill any remaining airborne germs. This will include both buildings and HVAC systems.

In addition, we will be doing things a little different to start until we can figure out the safest way to move forward. For the first two days of opening (26th and 27th), if you want to bring your dog to daycare you must call ahead to reserve a spot. We will be taking daycare dogs on a first come first serve reservation basis to help maintain our numbers and prevent spreading. Please give us a call to reserve a spot for any given day.

If your dog is showing ANY symptoms what so ever they are to stay home until further notice. We require at least a first round of the canine influenza vaccine effective immediately. This will be our policy moving forward. We will need documentation of the inoculation to keep on file, so please contact your vets and get them vaccinated. We are doing everything possible to keep everyone as safe as possible at this time.

Grooming will be taking appointments as well, so please call Stephanie at 484-320-8379 to schedule your dog for a haircut!

We appreciate every single one of you and couldn’t do it without you. We will reevaluate next weekend to see if we are able to stay open- fingers crossed for no new cases! So please keep checking our social media and website for other updates moving forward!!!

Unfortunately due to the rapid spread of canine influenza, we have decided to tentatively close both daycare/boarding for the week of January 16th.

During this time, we will be deep cleaning all areas of our facility and sanitizing everything as best as we possibly can. The virus has infected too many of our dogs, so this is the only way to try to stop the rapid spreading.

We apologize for any inconvenience and wish all our pups a speedy recovery! If you have any questions, feel free to call, email, or message us.

Reminder: Please get those canine flu vaccines for your dogs if you haven’t done so already! It will now be required to attend KK9. Bring a copy or email us proof of vaccination once received. Thank you guys so so much! We really hope this passes and we’ll be able to reopen soon. ❤️

Update on Canine Influenza:

Several cases have popped up over the past couple of days and this illness is rapidly spreading. We are doing our absolute best to deep clean everything and monitor all of our dogs, but unfortunately it is very contagious.

If you notice any signs of sickness (coughing, sneezing, lethargy, loss of appetite), PLEASE keep your pup home. If you’re able to keep your dog home during this time, do so to avoid this outbreak.
